I love that you updated this fic, it is one that I have enjoyed and missed. I love that Xander realized that he made a selfish mistake by insisting that Spike change Jesse and how real the emotional trauma that Willow and Buffy went through because of Jesse’s new status felt. I feel so bad for Spike and how twisted things are becoming for him. I am really looking forward to the next update.  |

| See? I find you with your new chapter *gg* On to the read now!... ~ Awe, Spike found his love again in his darkest hour.. but he is still in danger. So Spike noticed Jessie to wake up; wonder how he'll be. .. Oh my, I think maybe Spike will be able to get free but it seems he's loosing his connection with reality. ~ After I read that Spike has a connection with Jessie I thought that he could maybe lead Buffy to him... and when Jessie senses that Spike is in trouble I'm sure he can find him. Wow...
Jesse's awakening was beautifully written. I had been holding on to the hope that he wouldn't be EVIL-evil, even though I knew it was very unlikely. His hunger to rips out his friends throats though was disturbing.
Poor Spike, being left alone with his mind. His arousal and warring visions of Buffy was very well written and totally believable. I just hope he isn't left there to hang for too much longer!
Looking forward to the next chapter, well done Megan. |

Specifically, in this latest chapter of Disillusioned (17) i love the way Spike thought process flows. Each link from idea to idea is very well charaterized, and i really enjoyed reading it. finished both 15 & 16 -- amazing chapters. in 15, I loved how you had Spike flashback to siring his mother and the inner conflict within Spike was heart-rending.
I'm very intrigued with how you are writing Xander, and I'll "dying" - sorry bad punage" to find out what this Jesse will be like. Gives great argument for the "nature vs. nuture" -- will Jesse's nature be different now that the "nuturing" of Darla & the Master are no longer an issue? |

I can't help but hope that Xander's desires are answered and Jesse can be a "good" vamp with Spike's help. So much of their acceptance of Spike's struggle would ride on proof that a soulless vampire could chose good.
Excellent update. Can't wait for Buffy to rescue Spike and do some serious damage to the core of evil there.

| WOW!!! What a great character-development chapter for Spike! Spike's perspective on Buffy's battle with Darla, Angel's weakness and cowardice toward his Sire, and then at the end, his conflict over what was the right thing to do. Excellent. The turning of Jesse by Spike... it leads one to wonder about nature vs. nuture argument. Does the fact Spike now sires Jesse mean he will be different from the way he was on the show with Darla being his Sire. Also, since it didn't happen as it did on the show, with Jesse getting his initial impressions of vampire life with Darla and the Master, would it make a difference? Would Xander be correct? *my mind boggles with the possibilities* kudos! |

I like how soulless Spike is changing and leaving his "big bad" days behind without the help of a soul and you still managed to make it make sense. In canon, Jesse's death by his hands fueled everything, but here, we've got Jesse as a vamp's snack and that anger is starting to boil. I'm hoping that it will perhaps diminish some with regards to Spike so that when it is revealed Spike doesn't have a soul, Xander doesn't go apeshit. |

| Whst a marvelous chapter sweetie! I had to read it twice because the ending was so wonderful - I just coulndt believe it! Wow! Angel is just that uncaring - he doesn't care about the slayer friends, the fact one is slowly bleeding to death - he just wants to know if she can find out if Spike has a soul. The selfishness, the nerve, the whiney childish act - and he thinks he deserves to be a champion? I love that Xander found Jessie and can;t wait to find out what happens next! Fab chapter sweetie! |

Wow... the bit with Angel in the beginning was awesome. The whole Jesse thing is scary, I wouldn't be surprised if he IS taking notes and feeding them back to Darla.
And the end of the chapter - I could totally picture Angel's frustrations as if I were watching it on screen. Very nice chapter Megan. |

Wow... At the beginning I was shaking my head at Jesse's stupidity, but by the end of the chapter I found myself lost for words. He was disappointed when he woke still needing to breathe - the boy is just asking for trouble.
And the bit with Buffy and Spike was awesome. Very cute. I love how bad Spike has it. |

| Canon is confused on the whether Spike and Dru knew about the soul curse. As far as I know, Darla left immediately after and BtVS says the remaining two knew nothing of what happened with Angel, while Angel cannon says that they did. For the purposes of this story, Spike has no idea that Angelus is now Angel, or what happened with the Gypsies. Him guessing was just a fluke. I hope that helps make it clearer? BTW, thank you so much for reading. I know this fic doesn't seem as popular as others, which is a shame, but it till needs to be written. |

| I apologize for not reviewing before, but I have to tell you how much I'm enjoying this story. Its a really new twist, with Spike evolving to fit an image that he believes is false, but is becoming true. I adore Buffy's reassessment of the 'stalker guy'. Having the option to compare Angel to Spike, she sees how manipulative and down right creepy Angel's behaviour is and she no longer sees him as quite so attractive or romantic. Excellent! Thanks for giving us another wonderful story and I look forward to more. |
