| The first part of this story seems kinda familiar. But I can't for the life of me think of a reason why I wouldn't have kept track of it since. I love this story. It is incredible. Must have been temporary insanity. I liked how Darla is helping the good guys, but I'm not so crazy about them letting Angelus leave with her. And Buffy being able to channel Spike's demon is very interesting. Can't wait to see where you are taking this. More please. |

Excitement for me comes when the author touches the characters that I love, makes them act in a fashion that is in keeping with their psychology and treats them with respect. | I loved this chapter, and I really liked that Spike pointed out the risks of doing the spell in the library. I always wondered at them treating the library as a safe place when vampires never needed an invite for it, but you did a great job of showing that even a home is not safe. | I loved how Buffy stood up for herself and for Spike, that although she might loose her friends from her life she stood her ground. I fully understand Spike’s rage at Giles for blaming Buffy for Angel’s desouling, I felt anger at him blaming her also. That was the catalyst of much of her future pain and the distrust of her friends, and yet they never understood that she was as much a victim as anyone. She had no knowledge of the loophole, Jenny knew of it, Angel should have found out more about the curse on him and known about it, and Giles being a watcher and researcher should have, as soon as he found out about Angel being cursed with a soul, started finding out all that he could about it. Those three should share in the blame, but Buffy is blameless. As for Darla, I liked her and her thoughts at the end of this chapter. Thanks for the great update, and sorry about the diatribe I just had to get it out, my sister and I were talking about this very situation last night. |

Ah - without being reciprocated, the claim isn't permanent. Still breakable. Spike is totally stuck to her, though. Will Giles clue her in on the whole deal, or will Spike get to explain first?
Wonderful chapter, but still bittersweet. Poor guy's been so emotionally abused that he can't believe she might return the feeling, eventually. And she's so close to returning that love. I hope she tells him soon. |

| Without Buffy accepting/reciprocating, the claim will eventually wear away. This is explained in more detail in the next chapter. Spike essentially performed two blood-rituals, only the second wasn't affirmed. |

You take us to the highest highs with the love scene & then kill us with Spike's decision to leave her. That actually hurt my heart. How wonderful you can make me care so much about them because they feel so real. Beautiful job. |

| I know it's only 4 chapters in but I must say that I really love this story. It's been the longest time since I've been this captivated by a fic. The absurdity of Buffy and Spike's one night truce and the building desires that resulted from it set a wonderfully angsty mood for this fic. The inner turmoil faced by both of them over their newfound feelings is just so palapable. And the chaos that is Buffy's life at the moment just makes all these feelings for Spike so much more confusing. You have set up the ideal formula for a majorly angsty fic and I LOVE angst. Please continue with the fab job and hope to see Chapter 5 up soon. |

Good on him on trying to set her straight about Angel.
Her mental health could've benefited from that instead of people just doing the stake him because he lost his soul thing. Not to mention he wouldn't have gotten away after the judge incident because she wasn't ready to stake him. |
