| Awww... I loved that sweet moment between Spike and Joyce when she hugged him and told him he'd make a great father. I'm really worried about Joyce's health, I can't help but wonder if she'll be well enough to travel. The ending of the chapter was lovely. Poor Buffy she has so plate on her plate right now, I can't wait to find out what happens to the Summer's family next. Fantastic update! |

| I loved this chapter. I really loved how Buffy finally realized that Spike was there for her and didn’t judge her, and that she admitted this to her mother. I thought it so cute her telling Spike that he was a hostage to the Summers women and that he was family. I loved the ending of this chapter when Buffy told Spike that he was perfect and what she wanted him to promise her. I am really worried about Glory thinking that the baby is her key and about Joyce’s health. I am really looking forward to the next update and what steps you take with these factors. |

| I really liked the hospital scene between Spike and Buffy, to bad she had to put her foot in her mouth when they got to her house. Joyce really shined in this chapter, it's a shame she's ill. The scoobies sure were harsh, Buffy is really lucky to have a friend like Spike. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Great update! |

| What a horrible reaction from her 'friends' and to top it off with finding Joyce on the floor and her going to hospital. I like that she went to Spike, even though she has been completely horrible to him even though all he’s tried to do is help, hopefully she will realize that he is always there for her and unlike her friends he doesn’t judge her. Thanks for the update, I really enjoyed it. |
| I know just how annoying the 'denial Buffy' bit can be, but unfortunately it's just her natural reaction and every Spuffy writer has to find a way to work through it. Grr, I know. But still, uber-thanks for reviewing again, it's good to know you're enjoying the updates |

| i am breaking a rule here. due to computer malfunction or acute alcohol poisoning (Iknow which way i would vote), i have left multiple reviews on one update. my rule is to skip reviewing the next chapter. can't do that. that was a very good read. please do not disappoint, it can't be riley's. it would be a strong arguement against all of darwin's work. fun read. thank you |

What a fantastic twist. And Spike, he is far more then what Buffy deserves. How like Buffy to live in denial and strike out at the person trying to help. I am really looking forward to how Buffy will take the news when it is confirmed by a doctor. I only hope that Spike can survive it.

| Thank you for continuing your fic, this is so great. I love that Buffy stood up for herself against Riley, but the litany of insults he threw at her has an unfortunate amount of truth. Perhaps not toward him, but definitely towards Spike. You got her cruelty towards Spike down very well. I am really looking forward to the next chapter. |

I love this fic. I'm glad that you decided to continue it. Can we kick Buffy in the arse though? I swear ... that girl drives me crazy. You wrote them very true to form, but it still makes me want to strangle her. Riley hitting Buffy? Oh man, she should have flattened him. Great update.
A little side note: You might want to put in your disclaimer that the summary is made up of the exact lyrics to a Coldplay song. {smiles} I recognized it because I love their work, and it was the first rock concert I ever went to (unless you count the James Marsters concert in Michigan last year). I just wanted to send out that little tidbit that it might be a good idea to add the little part to your disclaimer. |

Now i'm awful and i dont usually review fics. (I know, i know, i'm a terrible person.)
Reviewing this one though, purely because you put that little 'TBC...?' at the end. This is so well written, there's so few really good fic writers left writing in the verse(i haven't found many anyway) and so i had to review to say please continue this. I adore long fics and so would be forever in your debt if you turned this into one (and i'm not past bribing someone...)
Anyhow, ignoring that plea, i'm gonna just say wonderful fic, nice take on that ep that i haven't seen before. |

| I would love a sequel to this. This is a great re-write of the episode, and you did a great job of keeping both of them completely in character. She still manages to be a bitch even when he is trying to help, and he still uses sarcasm to cover up his feelings. But in the end the comfort and help he gave her and her recognizing it would make the great start of a longer fic. |
