Good chapter.Update soon.I love Dawn and Spike's mad dash to write the letter.That was hilarious.I hope you don't update Monday morning or all day Wednesday.On Monday,I'm going to the zoo,and on Wednesday,I'm going to the local amusement park.
Plus I might go to the movie theater this weekend to see a movie and then go to the drive-in later that day or the next day.I have a busy week. |

Wonderful chapter - warm and sweet. I love that Spike has a destiny that isn't always dependent on him just being there to back up Buffy or the other scoobies. Can't wait to see what else the powers that be have planned for his future. And I REALLY can't wait to find out what's up with Giles and why Meret is having such a strange reaction to the watcher. | Awesome chapter. Loved the action, not to mention the humor. UV challenged, huh? Is this a politically correct term for vampire? Loved the idea that the taste of rotten zombie flesh is only slightly worse than that of Buffy's chicken parmesan. ROFLMAO. Can't wait for the next chapter. Love this story. Have I mentioned that enough? You write Spike so well, and all this mysterious stuff really has me chomping at the bit for more. What's the mirror do? Why does Giles have no mouth in Meret's head?
Tara knows Spike so well, and he doesn't know what to do with someone just as perceptive as he is. She knows his penchant for not caring about his own hide in a fight, as long as he survives it. Sure, he's rather not have an injury that lasts for days, but he's not afraid to push the envelope, either.

Spike could be so intuitive about other people's emotions and motivations, but he didn't always seem able to turn that lens back on himself, and yeah, Tara seemed like the perfect person to fill those shoes. I'm glad you liked that part. |

| Nice, well-written look at the walking contradiction that is Spike. Loved the game of pool. Meret and Buffy are sorta two of a kind - both wicked minxes. Xander being nice and not just automatically reacting negatively to Spike was a nice change from the usual treatment of these two characters' relationship. Looking forward to the next chapter. |

I think SpaceLord's forgetting that Buffy takes precedence in Spike's mind over anything else, and that he hasn't gotten laid in a very long time.
It would be nice for the group to sit down and relay exactly what they get and don't get through Meret, for Spike's peace of mind, at least. I'm missing the Spike/Tara interaction a bit, too. |

| Yeah this was fun until you decided to give Spike the concentration ability of Homer Simpson, I mean if that's how easily he would get distracted how the hell would he survive for so long? I mean ok if he got distracted the first time but then over and over again, I don't think I've ever met or heard of a person with such lack of self control. I mean the first thing we ever hear about Spike is that when he sets his mind on something he don't stop until he's done and right this minute it would be pool not slutty and her lame attempts at being distracting. |
| I'm sorry you didn't like it, but I was basing that scene off of the only time we've really seen "Buffy" try to screw around with Spike's head in "Who Are You." Considering how off balance he's been in the rest of the story, I felt that it was logical in the bounds of this story. Thanks for the feedback, and I do hope that this doesn't turn you off of the entire story. |

Good chapter.Poor Giles and Spike in the mansion.I always imagined the Fang Gang moving into the huge mansion if they ever went back in time,but Angel was feeling guilty the entire time.

Congratulations on the wins for League With Serpents...that was totally, totally deserved!
I am loving this sequel as well. The mystery is being doled out in nice chunks and is captivating. I am also loving the evolving relationships thanks to the assistance of Meret.

| Good chapter.I like how Spike and Buffy broke everything.Have you ever heard James and Alexis without the English accents?I have,and it sort of freaks me out.I can't watch James in Smallville(which I don't watch anyway)because of his real American accent.I'm not used to it.Update soon. |

| Tender and sweet and characteristically Spike at the departure. I appreciate your description of Buffy being 'incapable of holding a grudge' and the effect this has on those around her. It's a very true attribute of her, an unintentional sting of associating with Buffy. Giles and Spike's reactions are perfect and touching. |

I'm figuring that Tara has those hairs now for a reason. Hmm, what will she need to look in on Spike for?
And I love his relationship with Dawn. It's so sweet.
A very good point how you shone a light on Buffy being oblivious to other's pain. Before and after her death, she was always the last to notice when others were having a rough time, or a rough memory. Considering how Joyce and Dawn are, Buffy had to have taken after her father. She completely lacks that whole empathy gene.
And I think Meret might be able to choose what she sends on to others from Spike, since they have the primary connection? Though, I wouldn't put it past Spike to have that level of control for himself, anyway, since he lived with Dru all those years. |
| So much in this review I shouldn't comment on yet... As for Buffy's cluelessness, I thought it was an important trait to bring up in a story that deals with empathy/telepathy. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for reviewing! |

| I'm very happy to see that you started to post the sequel. And even more happy that I'm reading it now. Hehe.. I so can imagine: Spike wasn't quick enough out of the way for Buffy (because of the knot on the back of Spike's head). Oh yeah.. it's totally understandable why Spike is careful regarding his feelings for Buffy. Through Meret [I missed her too ] he has no secrets, no hides anymore, he is emotionally on show, like living in a goldfish bowl. He, kinda all the Scoobies are playing Peeping Tom.. so secrets left. And I still love the banter between Buffy and Spike. And that she took the money and works now as a team. *gg* yeah, I missed Meret A web of fine metal filaments wrapping the skeleton.. I wonder if that happened when the body was still alive. Sounds scary, the jar too. And the way the crystal acted... Dangerous. ~ A good start! Looking forward to the next chapter :-D |
