Wow! You've actually made me feel sympathy for the infamous Cecily. You definitely get kudos for that. I love the twists this story is taking. Great characterization on Darla and Angelus. I also like the fact that in their own ways - each of the family 'loves' William. (After all - to know Spike is to love him.) Good work. Looking forward to more.

I really hope you continue this fic. In fact, I hope you continue all 3 fics - I like them all and can't choose which one I'd want you to write more. Remember, there's always more readers than reviewers and most of us are just too damn lazy (I know I'm guilty of that!), but that doesn't mean we don't check daily to see if there's an update!! ;) As far as this fic goes, I loved the backstory. Nice for once to have Darla not hating William's guts on sight. I'd like to see more about Spike's powers. I'd also like to see more of him and Tara -- that's what drew me to the prequel in the first place, and those scenes just faded away after Spike and Buffy got together. Can't wait to see Spike and Glory go toe to toe - that sShould be fun! He's totally gonna kick her lopsided ass!! Great fic! Keep writing, you've got more fans than you know!

Me again According to my calculations, 1880 would be two years too few for William to be twenty-five. After fixing the previous year (which, now that I think about, would be easier and less trouble for you if it was the very first year, 1862, that gets added that 4 years), I get that he would be aged 23 in the year 1880. Since I'm guessing that you are going to turn him further on in this chapter, what with the Cecily mess, it would be easier for you to make him younger. Once again, I apologize for nagging. I really do like this fic, the dates just bugged me a little. You probably hate me by now, always telling you that there's something wrong in your writing ;)

I had to google the chapter title cause I could hear the song but not place it. I found Nightwish but and Led Zeppelin but new neither one was the song that I had on my brain. I think the one I've heard a few times is Gary Moores.

Great chapter I noticed an error concerning William's age. In the last chapter, William is nine in 1862. In this chapter, he is twelve on the year 1869. Taking the dates as facts he should be either 16 in this chapter or 5 in the previous one. I'm not trying to tell you how to write your own story, that is not my intention, I just thought I´d bring this to your notice. ... Reading on, I notice that it seems to be the dates that have gone wrong, instead of Williams age.. Sorry about rambling.

Usually when a fanfiction seems interesting, I copy it on my computer until it's completed and then I read it. I make exceptions when it seems to be specially good to my taste. I did it with Sympathy for the Devil by ComedyofErrors. And I am doing it with In Fire and Blood by Kallysten and I'm doing it with The Worlds Revolve. So don't evsluate your work with the reviews even if it's tempting. Please keep ut the good work. I also wish that your life is a little easier now. I just found "This Is The Way The World Ends" yesterday, I read the whole story in two sittings (had to stop, so i could sleep), and have now read the beginning of the sequel. This is a marvelous story, I absolutely ADORE the Spike/Tara friendship. Its nice to see things going well for everyone, but yet, its still convincinly real, with a whole different set of problems. Will we be seeing Faith again? I was really happy to see her go off and do something productive, instead of being locked up. Do you have an update list for this story? Or do I just need to check this site regularly?

I absolutely love the story. Sorry the interest seems not to be there but I'm definitely interested. This is the first story I've read (and I've read a lot) that gives a strong glimpse of William's father - most just say he died when William was a lad. Can't wait to see where this goes. I'm definitely hoping that you'll finish. And not just this one but I'm still curious about what happens with Spike after Buffy dies and he continues with his work. What happened with the 13 year old "Pidge" that he rescued from the cemetary at the end of the first story. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US!! PLEASE KEEP WRITING.

I love reading your stories which are excellent, I just hate writing reviews. When I was writing fanfic I never asked for reviews and very rarely even read the ones I was given. It never mattered what others thought, I wrote because of the story I needed to tell. You write until there's no more story to give.

First off let me just say that this story is just as wonderful as the first one!! Second let me apologize for not reviewing even though I have been happily following both this one and the one before. I know what it is like to write and not get feedback. It is disheartening I know, but I also know that there are those out there that read many fics and never send any feedback. Yes I know that it seems unfair but even if only one person is enjoying the words that you have written you have brought a smile to at least that one person and that should bring a smile to you in return. While i do think you're a good writer, the reason why i don't read most of it is because of chapters like this one. I don't believe in submissive Spike,William, but since it is an AU story then it is possible to write it that way. I'm just not a fan of it. seeya

Not everyone who reads reviews. I'm usually one of those. This story has gotten a bit 'out there' for my tastes in where it has taken Spike. Still, I really loved the earlier part of the preceding story, and your writing is strong enough that I'm quite willing to keep reading in hopes that it grabs me again. Also, I'm a sucker for non-fantasy/AU fic, especially during this time period. Anyway, I'm still reading.

Hmmm, in the series this 'telling' led to bad things. Can't wait to see how Buffy responds to it. I can't help but comment that in the first story almost every time Spike's actions/motives were called into question (returning to Sunnydale/ fight with Angel at Gile's regarding Drusilla) Buffy "backed the wrong horse." Has that changed? Is she really ready to 'see' the full evil incarnate Spike? Are we? Love this story.
