I'm with Spike and his last spoken sentiment, he has already gone through so much.
I love the lessons that Anne is giving not only Xander but Giles and Buffy also, I love that she pointed out that not once have they encouraged him with his change in behavior. I also love how she pointed out the assets they have with Spike and Anya and are not making use of. Thanks for the update, I am really enjoying this story. |

I hope Anne can get through to Xander. I like how you both expose him for what he is and offer him the possibility of changing. Often, he either is irreperably hateful or immediately becomes Spike's friend with little justification. I think you're handling it quite well.

Poor Spike seems to be on the receiving end of allot of torture where Buffy is concerned. She put him in a wheelchari, the from the HellGod, then we had the season 6, i'm back from heaven beatings, then the trials beatings, and then the Ubervamps and first beating and then the whole internal combustion...all either from or for Buffy...he definitely got the worst deal didn't he?
Well atleast it isn't Spike's Mum, such a nice lady she is. and she is new so if they saw her they would have figured she's the key.

I love the premise of this fic... have read a few fics where Buffy and Spike go back to his past but I don't believe I have come across one where Spike's mum comes to the future before. Really enjoying it and looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you. |

I was confused and reread to find what you might mean. If you refer to the "bloody victim" I was meaning that in the literal sense rather than a swear word. I can see how you might see it as a case of swearing however.

| Spike's story of is mother's death is always heartbreaking, and this time was no different. You wrote him telling Giles about it in such a way that I could feel his pain. This is really an excellent story and I am looking forward to following it. |

| You are doing well with the mother-son relationship. Their conversation sounds very much like the way I remember it in Lies My Parents Told Me. I also am enjoying the way Anne is so protective of Spike. I am very curious as to know how this will end. Sadly, I can't think of it ending happily for Anne, but who knows. |

| I loved how Mrs. Pratt treated Xander, and how accurate she was in her description of him as well as in her comparison of him to Spike. Tara is so great, I love how she is able to help keep thing somewhat calm and under control. |
If William had been my son I would have smacked Xander but Anne is too much the lady!
Tara was such an earth mother on the show....a calm in the eye of the storm.
