Sequel? Nice story though. anyway we can get Joss to read it? He may give us S8 then.
Thank you! Yes a sequel in time. I'd love more from ME/Joss too but am losing hope. Glad there's fanfic to see us through (and some of it is better than what we got at times IMHO). K

I really, really liked this fic. I loved how Joyce was able to show Buffy the way to happiness, that she didn't just tell her to stay with Spike, but helped her understand that the way of happiness is following your heart. If you ever decide to do a sequel showing the ramifications of this night, I will be there. |
In time there will be a sequel. May take a little while but I'm glad you'll read. K

Lovely, dreamy tale with Joyce as the conductor. Does your muse see a sequel to this? Thank you for sharing.
Yup my muse put the plot bunny for a sequel in the hutch. It may take a bit but I think I'll revisit this one later. Thank you. K

gr8 chap. love Joyce. always wondered what S6 would have been like had she been there.
Buffy wouldn't have been hard for one thing. Her mom kept her grounded. Thanks. K

I like that Joyce pointed out to Buffy that one of the meanest things she ever did to Spike was denying him friendship. And I really like that she seems to have finally learned from her past and can now go forward.
That always got my goat. If she wanted to hide the sex, fine, but he had EARNED friendship and respect from all of them. K

i keep saying I want a Spike but no one will give me one and they keep giving Buffy one but she never says she wants one!
Ungrateful wretch wasn't she? I want a Spike too (and there is a looooong line for one for that matter). Stupid Slayer! I wouldn't TAKE an Angel or Riley! K

| Robyn | Dream the Fourth | 04/30/2006 05:32 am |
I love that she finally got to see how affected Spike was by her death, and how much he cared for her sister. I really like the explanation of why she wasn't herself, why she didn't really show emotion when she came back.
I dabbled in Witchcraft for a few years while trying to decide what I believed (I'm Christian now) and I remember well that rituals were very specific. You had to have everything JUST RIGHT and every detail mattered. They never addressed the fact that Willows MAJOR ritual was interrrupted!!!! That had to have consequences beyond just magic using consequences. It seemed to make sense to me. Thank you. K

I like Dawn-Spike friendship and hate Joss for not giving us any S7. OK here's my fav line:"Is poisoning yourself another Summers tradition?
Oh me too!!!! I loved their friendship so much and there was never that wonderful moment they needed to reconcile either. I hated that!
Glad you liked that line, I admit I liked it too. K |

| Robyn | Interlude Due (Evasione) | 04/30/2006 05:22 am |
She does like her denial. I really liked that even though she didn't tell Dawn what happened, she did help clear Spike's name.
That's appropriate IMHO. Buffy doesn't owe anyone a detailed report of what happened. That relationship up to and including the AR was between she and Spike. Xander butted in and mouthed off so something had to be said but Dawn doesn't need details. I just wish Buffy had done this with all her friends on the show. K

Excellant dream about Riley I am very glad she saw the truth. You are doing an excellant job with this story. You are pointing out the truths with her relatiosnip with men, however doing it without the character bashing or going over board. I like how you are proceeding and think it is excellant so far!
I try to avoid character bashing because I can see some good in most of them. I may stress a bad point or two for story purposes, but try to make everything in character. Thank you. K

love the use of joyce. she'sounds' just like her character at her best. fine read, thanks
Thank you I really loved Joyce and wanted more use of her than they gave us actually. She was central to Buffy and Buffy began to fall apart with hr death. Thank you again. K

| Robyn | Dream the Third | 04/30/2006 05:16 am |
I like that she realized how much her relationship with Riley resembled her relationship with Angel, someone who tries to make her fit in the mold they have of her. I like that Joyce is still trying to make her understand that she is made for special not normal.
Joyce had to die to finally "get it" but she's the perfect one to make Buffy see. Thanks. K

Shakes head at Buffy - don't you ever learn, I assume the next dream will involve Riley. He was even more wrong for her then Angel. Buffy get a clue Spike loves you and always will.
True, Riley had the added problem of being breakable! There is a reason I am a Spuffy shipper....he was the right guy for her. Strong enough but bringing out her strengths too. Spike took her as who/what she was (and encouraged her to be all she could be) and therefore made her strong. Angel and Riley tried to mold her into what they wanted which weakened her terribly. Thanks. K

| fallen_angel | Interlude | 05/01/2006 12:38 am |
somebody get Buffy off the "normal" nonsense!
She'll learn! If she ever REALLY wanted normal (or found it attractive) Xander would have had a shot and we all know that was never going to happen *G*. K

fun chapter, thanks
Thank YOU. K

| Robyn | Interlude | 04/30/2006 04:57 am |
It's interesting that Joyce explained to Buffy that normal does not make her happy and yet she is still caught in the idea of normal because of how ingrained the idea is in her. I love that she didn’t even try to deny the missing day, and that she realized that his actions that day were because of a not so nice character trait.
It was a character trait too...he did the same things in LA with his people there making decisions that completely effected their lives, their choices and never told them. I've always felt that part of the reason Buffy clung to Angel as the love of her life is that it helped her deal with not killing him when she should have and preventing Jenny's death, etc. Just my opinion. K

| jl1980 | Dream the Second | 05/22/2006 11:48 pm |
very good points about angel..what was his deal, anyway? great chapter ;)

| Athenewolfe | Dream the Second | 05/03/2006 05:27 pm |
Finally she sees the light! Angel had no right to do half the things he did. He might not be worthless, but as a partner for Buffy he always was wrong for her. *sigh*
ITA....another thing is that it seems to have been a character trait with Angel....notice how he was always making all the decisions for the LA crew too up to and including the mind wipe. Angel never consulted anyone for decisions...he ALWAYS frlt he knew best. He would have been disasterous for Buffy, weakening her until she was killed. Gaaahhhh. K

| fallen_angel | Dream the Second | 05/01/2006 12:34 am |
Hmm... u know James Marsters and Sarah Gellar think that Angel is Buffy's true love * rolls eyes*. I think they need to read this chap, that'll clear their heads.
Sarah also thinks Freddie Prinz is a dreamboat ..:::snicker:::... I think JM says what he knows Joss was spouting though. At times he slips and I think he's more aware of Spuffy rightness than he lets on. Gotta please the boss though. Thank you. K

i "know" buffy did not enjoy those highlights of the love of her life. i sure did! thank you for the fun read.
Buffy needed a moment to really look at some people and events in her life, she never really got that change on screen...sigh. Thanks K

| Robyn | Dream the Second | 04/30/2006 04:46 am |
What a hard awakening for her. I’m really glad that Joyce is there to help her understand.
Joyce was the only choice for the role. Her opinion mattered to Buffy more than anyone else's. K

What a sad, and accurate, fairy tale. I love that Joyce is the guide for Buffy, and that she pointed out that the ‘normal’ parts of Buffy’s life are the parts that Buffy likes least.
That was always what I noticed...Buffy claimed to want normal but the normal in her life is what drove her nutty. She wanted normal because everyone said she should. K

| bloodshedbaby | Dream the First | 04/30/2006 12:46 am |
Perfect way to explain how the scoobies isolated her with their beliefs!! If it could only ahve gone like that...
They really did use her indecision after Angel became Angelus to make her doubt herself didn't they? K
