| I loved the conversation between Tara and Willow; Tara did a great job of pointing out the truth of Willow’s involvement with Buffy. What a welcoming party for Buffy, she is not as alone as those after her might think. I loved the parallel universe comment from Dawn when she and Buffy found out that their dad was coming. Thanks for the lovely update. |

Ah...your thought process is making sense now, LOL....hey, I'm all for wacky as long as it can be explained.
So, these things want the Slayer alive, and the Key alive, but not together...what's the master plan? I'd guess some affiliation with the Council, with their whole "the Slayer fights alone" thing, but that seems too obvious. I assume they'll have an offer for Buffy when she has no other choice?
Convenient timing for Willow to get the invitation, too. Maybe they'll teach her to take accountability for her own choices. She's such a brat for blaming it all on Buffy! |

| Clem's reaction to Rilla has me really wondering what is going on with her. Hank not knowing about Joyce because he didn't get the message from work is all kinds of wrong. Ah, yes, early season 3 of AtS...Giles would really be walking into a messy situation. And little Connor is born in November. Interesting that Giles has gone to Angel for help for Buffy, indirectly, of course.
Okay, people, think about Dawn? She's been stuck with that foster family with no word from anybody. Giles needs to bring in a good lawyer. That whole situation is ridiculous. There was no immediate grounds for taking the girl, especially at her age. She's old enough to stay at home by herself, legally, and have a job. Normally, if the social worker was concerned that they weren't eating enough, she would have signed Buffy up for food stamps, and possibly welfare assistance until they're back on their feet. |

| I love that Spike is there for Buffy and is determined that even though she has found her death wish she is going to survive. I also like that she didn't kick him to the curb but told him that he could come home with her if he wanted and thought of him enough to remind him about the blinds. Thanks for the Dawn update her foster mom sounds a little creepy with all the ‘darling’s’. I am really enjoying the story and am looking forward to the next update. |

| You are doing a fantastic job of showing how hard their life could have gone. When Dawn was taken I could feel the pain of her and Buffy. You also managed to do a creditable job of showing the coldness and uncaring of Mrs. Rothchild for the feelings of those she is supposed to care for. Telling Dawn that she doesn't count and threatening her sister because she wants to 'save' Dawn shows how misguided agents of child services can be. I love that Dawn compared her to 'White Oleander' and I am really looking forward to where you go from here. |

| I love how you write from the different perspectives letting us know what is going on with the different characters or someone else’s take on a situation. I love Tara and how sweet she is being, and I’m glad that Dawn accepted her instead of punishing her for Willow’s actions. You have really done a great job of showing real life for many people, and having Buffy feel accomplished because she was able to get the banking done and the electric bill paid during her lunch break is a great example of this. Know of course I am worrying about Spike and what problems his job will cause. Thanks for the update. |

You trusted him to protect Dawn against Glory, Buffy. I don't really think you can call him your enemy anymore. And, he's devoted to you, and your sister.
Spike has to know that they're obviously broke. He's usually quick to pick things up. Just the fact that they're both working a ton after Joyce died is a major clue.
Really liked the Tara perspective. Once she feels more comfortable around Buffy, she won't be stuttering anymore. She was doing much better with that by Season 6. |

Spike to the rescue. This isn't too far from S6 canon actually. Her "friends" didn't lift a finger to help, actually leeched off of her and watched her kill herself trying to meet ends. Only Spike saw and tried to act and only Tara offered warmth and acceptance besides him. Really enjoying this fic.

| I really like Anya's honesty and Tara's response when she found out that Willow and Xander were avoiding Buffy. I loved how Dawn greeted Spike and I felt so bad for him with Buffy’s response to him being with Dawn, although I somewhat understand with her upset with him being gone for so long and the stress she is under. Nice set up and yeah Tara! Funny but on the show they did pull away emotionally after bringing Buffy back. I mean they dumped all the responsibility on her and went on with their lives as if nothing untowed had occurred. You've captured the character trait behind that well here. Excellent update.

I can't believe, and yet I can, what jerks Xander and Willow are being by totally abandoning Buffy without even having the guts to tell her that they don't want to be around her. Thanks for the great update, and I am really looking forward to when Spike returns. |

Dawn - such a brave little trooper. Really a good idea to keep her in the loop. People react to how they are treated, and if she's talked to like an adult, she'll aspire to that.
