Although I have seen what a bloody bitch Buffy can be, and I am not justifying her in the least; she hasn't had the greatest experience with the men she loves either. Her Dad leaves and rejects any and all responsiblity and contact with her, Angel turns evil and leaves, Parker (well, 'nuff said), Riley cheats on her with Vampire hookers and then leaves, and (although she realizes that it was completely her fault and was incredibly cruel for this to happen) it must have felt as though Spike had left her there for a bit. So I am really glad for both of them, and I hope that they will both get the happiness that it is about time that they get (wow confusing sentence). A fic I found later on in it's life, I have really enjoyed the twists and turns. never able to guess what the story is about, it plays Spike much in the way that Buffy is. In this chapter, we saw more role reversal,which makes me wonder if this will be the norm for the fic. if so, then joy. Spike is perfectly charecterized in this fic (Which makes me wonder why you are writing him like you are in Blood Bond): A poet hiding behind a mask of anger, who's first reaction is to either hide or destroy. The switching between him in Hallie in roles is perfect, and Buffy's decsion to let Spike go is written beautifully. Personally, I would say focussolely on this fic and get it done, becauseit shows the greatest potential. Although the way the last few chapters it seems very unlikely that she has completely let him go (duh) it worries me a wee bit, for possibly foreshadowing reasons. Good to see Buffy finally make the point that Spike must risk a little bit of himself if he hopes to find out if Buffy is telling the truth. Also, interesting role reversal with Anya and Xander...I hope it keeps up, and I hope that BOTH of them learn a lesson. While it's easy to see that Xander would learn one, I think Anya can learn one too... Just a suggestion for a subplot with that, you could do it that at some point, Xander askes a question or two to Spike or another demon that embrasses Anya,and she snaps at him. At which point, both realize what the other one went through: Xander by his attitude, and Anya by not realizing that there is a difference between being frank and being just glaringly abrasive. Just a suggestion, but one that would be very, very interesting for both to see the other side. We really do have alot of role reversals in this fic: Buffy is now the lover wanting a crumb, while Spike is the one distancing himself to protect his hear; Xander is the trailer that is treated badly and ignored while Anya is thrust into the protector/master role of the relationship. All we need now is for Tara to suggest using a spell on Willow that Willow is scared about and Tara getting mad and desperate. That's not to say I want that to happen, jsut saying what could happen. Oh...and what will happen when Buffy meets the first woman to crush Wlliam's heart? I sense some angst and anger. Also, a chance for her to earn some of Spike's trust by beating Hallie up. hmm...feel like writing a fic? ;) lol...some of your ideas are spot on with mine..others not so much...you'll just have to wait and see hope you like where i take this story   Bridget Step by Step 07/31/2006 10:54 am Good chapter.
