Yay, loved the epilogue! Sweaty, sexy alley lovin' is always good, as long as Buffy doesn't have to wear that horrid hat . Whistler is such a pain with all the cryptic. Love the idea that she's immortal (or close to it). She'll have her vampire for a good long while. I hope!!

| I love it! I think the bit with Joyce was for the best. She was right Buffy couldn't always be watching out for her, waiting to see if she had perfect happiness. I mean, it could have been her daughter graduating from high school for all we know... So good plot choice. Can't wait to see how this continues. It seems to be winding down which is sad but all good fics must come to an end. |

| Oh my God, this was so amazing! I never saw it coming. It was a strangely beautiful and emotional scene. I don't even like Angel--keep wishing him dead--and yet I had tears in my eyes. The only thing is that I find Buffy incredibly heartless and cold not to even try to comfort her mother. I know she's all weirded out, but it's her mom and it's not her fault she got turned. Oh well, people react strangely sometimes. Fantastic chapter. |

You know what's the hardest thing? I get both of their reactions... Buffy's because she feels betrayed by more people that Jenny, Angel for example and the wound caused by the loss of her mother is still raw... and Spike's because they made him feel second again....

| Really liked the line about the bruise with no clue to it's origin. To bad Giles wasn't going fast enough to really do some damage and I never understood why Jenny would ever be in a place that had a big-ass sign out front saying"Welcome" after dark. Love that Buffy is taking comfort from Spike. Maybe her relationship with Spike (sans soul) is helping her cope with her mom having been turned. Even though Joyce is evil, so was Spike once. There is room for hope all because of what she has learned from Spike.

| My goodness, oh so much just happened in one page with 8 chapters, and I'm a bit numb to the world and excited about it at the same time. If that makes any sense at all. I love where this is going, from the brutal descriptions of Angelus and Dru to the humor of employing Giles in the rescue mission to his desire to get away from the confusion and back to bed. They've made quite the commitment and I can't wait to see what kind of reaction that brings from everyone. Amazing. |
