So, Angel is dead but not dusted? That's weird. Now, where is Spike?
He was unconscious before. Now he is dust. Want an explanation? He got up, fought some more, got attacked, and then went poof. Buffy never saw any of this.

Come on, don’t be mad. I had to be realistic. You can’t miss someone you don’t remember.
Ok you get the benefit of the doubt for now lol. Honestly I love the way this fic is going. |

I'm glad Gunn got a end - he was never the same after being tricked by that doctor and blaming himself for Fred's death. My guess is that Spike and Illyria did something big to wipe out most of that army - there were WAY too many demons for just Buffy's little group to get rid off using conventional hand-to-hand fighting, even with Willow's dragon trick - all the Scoobies did was wipe clear out a single alley that part of W&H's army were in (an army that was being built up since around the time of Illyria's rule). Consider those in the Fang gang that were still fighting when most of the demon army suddenly dissapeared - the former god-king of the universe and the only vampire in history to willing fight for a soul, become a champion, die and come back without any spells who then figured out how to bend reality itself to his own desires. It's quite possible that those two could have managed to pull off a miracle and defeat W&H and their army. Angel and Gunn my have been suicidal but neither Spike nor Illyria were, they were willing to fight and die but not without at least trying to come up with a way to survive the battle. Given their status, I have no doubt Spike and Illyria could have come up with some crazy-ass plan defeat the senior partners.
It would be cool if I could think of a good plan they used. But unfortunately I can't. So, you are going to have to bend belief and accept that Buffy's small group, along with Willow's dragon-rider routine did the work.
