Pretty cool start to this one. I like Time Travel stories too. They are enjoyable to read because you can play with so many things. Question ... is everything we know from Buffy up until she defeats the first (Spike goes all poof in the cavern) still true in canon? I know you said spike wasn't a vampire or human, but I'm just trying to figure out if his background is the same ... that he is still the same Spike who loved Buffy.
Yep, same Spike we know and love. He's just a mixture of vamp and human.
