| Umm, when Spike flashes back to Giles giving the chip back, that's kinda confusing. Otherwise, it's a delicious chapter. Not one but two revelations. Are you running a two for one special? ;) It's strange how inverting so many cliches in BTVS fic (Dawn's boy crushes, Giles as Spike's father or uncle) makes everything make more sense. You've a keen mind to discern so many opportunities. |

| Huh, and I'd forgotten that you provided an explanation for why Spike is so laid back, which works better than assuming he's better controlled. Not that most fics bother to address the issue at all even if they're situated for it. So that's three rather creative points in a single chapter. And then there's the wonderful mythology. Sigh. |
