Would definitely like to see a continuation here where Buffy finds out that Spike is really alive. Giles made me so mad in Season 7, but in the end I always hoped he'd do the right thing. So sad to see Buffy so broken, but at least she realized what she felt for Spike. You really love the sad stories and endings, don't you?
I may revisit this one in a way. I was sort of implying that Giles had been told of Spike's return but wrote it rather open ended because I actually wrote it just after they announced that JM would be going to Angel and I had no idea how they were going to have him turn up on that show. Now that it's over, I may pick this one up. K

very good, made me cry...i always distrusted Giles since Buffy's 18th and hated him from season 6 on...you nailed him perfectly
The Crusiumentum is one weird plot bunny in the hutch here. The whole idea of that "test" made no sense on the surface. I hated the way they portrayed Giles from S6 on (with the exception of his wonderful return to fight DarthWillow). Thanks! K
