I don't really see Spike jumping Harmony as the same. Buffy sleeping with Angel after she sent him from the Hellmouth can be seen as her sending Angel away and killing Spike in his place. Cause that reason they gave for her sending him away didn't make sense unless she was trying to protect him.That's why I see any post Chosen stories with Bangel as detrimental to the character of Buffy at the very least .
But I did love your story. I love all your stories.

When I wrote this I had in mind that Buffy needed to find out once and for all that the vampire she loved and wanted was Spike (even if, at the time, she didn't know Spike was alive). Thus the plan to serve up those promised cookies and her disappointment.
I can't buy into Bangel at all because the problem (the curse and the amazing movable soul) does not go away! The only "chance" was when Angel became human in IWRY and HE gave that up....so much for his assertion that Buffy should have a normal relationship with a normal human!
Spike with Harmony was his glee at being able to touch again and she had a history with him that made it seem okay IMHO.
I find The Girl In Question so very harmful to the character of Buffy unless it is wanked that she really didn't know that Spike was alive or that Angel and Spike came to Rome. I have no idea what ME was thinking!!

| Nice little story, you sure made G-man full of hate. Would have loved a little epilouge with Angel coming back and finding Buffy and Spike that would have been fun. |
| Thank you. I think there was still a lot of Ripper in Giles, especially towards the end of the series (and lets not forget his attitude towards Angel in AtS S5! He wouldn't even help Fred.) I imagine Angel pretty well knew what Buffy had in mind after she found out about Spike LOL.

| Well I think after his go at Harmony he would have understood in short order. Besides, I think Spike wouldeventually look on it as Buffy actually chosing him over Angel, even after the sex! He'd love that. K |
