Excellent. I love Spike's inner monologue, getting pissed at himself for breathing like a human but then changing his mind and making excuses. Very in character for him.
Hehe... I always loved that about Spike. He's a walking contradiction! Thanks!

Very interesting chapter. I am intrigued to see what is going to happen next. One small detail - you have the entire chapter in bold. You might want to fix that. Looking forward to the next chappie!
