Like I said - excellant beginning - I like how you are showing an intital courage, but still bits of doubt, it is a nice way to show the transition of feeling that she is showing! Excellant update!

The incongruous statement sent all thoughts of financial concerns out of her head, “Y-you eat food? I mean people food?” This line cracked me up...off to read next chap!

Hi -I started this and will continue when I have time, but I wanted to tell you I like the way it's shaping up. I will continue to follow it and let you know what I think. Caught a small typo in this chapter - when Spike first goes into game-face I believe you meant to say his visage "wasn't" or "was not" as ugly as she'd expected. Would be happy to beta this fic for you if you don't have one already.
