I really loved this chapter. I like Tara's passion (for a friend) when she said - " “Maybe not. But maybe she never deserved you in the first place.”"
ANd I paticularly love her condidions. Never leave her.

Oh, poor Spike. I just want to give him a hug here. I like how he trusts Tara and how he wants to change just for her.
Tara took a deep breath, “And you can never leave me.”
Spike turned to look at her and vowed quietly, “Never.”
And she knew he meant it with everything that he was.
So so sweet. I don't think I've said enough how much I love this concept you've got going here. Well done!
