Gaaahhhh....Okay, I just startled my husband into a near wreck as I read this update (I am printing it off to keep and was reading on the way home).
You are EVIL! I still think Angel is with Faith though. I notice her words to Giles aren't the lovey dovey kind she used to her phone buddy. So maybe Angel IS the one that's on her leash.
Maybe Giles is working undercover and not a rat in with Faith after all. Poor Spike is being played no matter what though.
You write this so well it if believable any way you work it. Excellent update.

| Oi! All the twists and turns! Is Giles really betraying Spike?--I kinda think not, since that would mean betraying Buffy, and he did say the plan would require sacrifice--I'm just not sure if Spike knew how big of a sacrifice. Still, I can seldom anticipate the direction your stories will take--that's what makes them so much fun to read! Thanks for another great chapter. |

| Wow - that's gotta be one of the evilest cliff hangers ever. This is a great story - I'm hooked on it, but really hoping this chapter was a bit of a mislead! |

| hmmm.... so now I have to ponder if Giles is acting out of the evilness of his heart, or what he perceives to be the greater good. And still no hint on Angel's part in this game, or lack thereof. But I'm definitely thinking that Spike isn't the only one who was playing both sides of the fence. |
