So is that why Joyce hasn't called/isn't around? Though, the major consequences should be for William's time, everything he knew, has the potential to be drastically different. That spell shouldn't randomly pick something for an immediate change. Magic seems to work on the physics rule of equal and opposite reaction, if anything.
