i actually like heroic angel when he's portrayed the way you have..still a general git when it comes to spike and buffy, but still the the kind of guy whod risk his life to save that kid...very good chapter
Thanks again!

I tend to like Angel best in his more comic moments, like when he's pouting like a six year old. Smile Time, definite favourite. I like him least when he's all over Buffy and/or getting on Spike's case, and since he tends to be in the company of one or both of those characters when he makes an appearance in these fics... well.

But I did like Angel in his more heroic moments, on his own show, when he wasn't preening in front of Buffy, so I thought it was time to redress the balance a little.

Angel as heroic? jaw drops down in shock! Well I guess go - giggles, I actually don;t mind angel he is a good character flaws and all. He and Buffy just never worked well together - the characters are wrong for each other. Angel always needed someone more like Darla - someone who would take control but still let him feel needed. buffy could never be that person for him (don't get wigged but I have always liked him paired with willow or cordy)/. So good angel sections!
Thank you! Surprisingly enough, I don't mind Angel either... as long as he stays in LA and away from Spike and Buffy, but because the times I love him best are when he's being ridiculous and insecure and because, as a rabid Spike fan, I'm not going to let him get away with lording it over the blonde one, he very often comes out as the comic relief in my fics, so just once I thought I'd let him play the hero.

Yep, good job. That's AtS Season 1 type Angel behavior, who wasn't as much of a prick, yet. Probably would have been better if he'd never found out about the Shanshu. Then, it still would have been about doing the right thing.

The rest of the stuff was good, too.
Thanks. I'm glad that came across okay. I have a terrible habit, because I find Angel at his most watchable when he's being ridiculous, to write him in that mode most of the time. At least once, it's nice to balance the scales a little, even if I go straight back to making a fool of him afterward.

you can never be too hard on angel. even with displaying his heroic actions, this is an excellent update. thanks for the read. remember you can never be too rough when it's angel. thanks again.
That's probably just as well. The story (as far as current postings on LJ or my own site is concerned) is drawing to a close. The final battle with the Turok Han is underway, and I'm still giving Angel a hard time whenever he appears. Well, I guess I let him be heroic that one time... Thank you for all your comments.
