| This is so good, and I love how the truth had to be dragged out of Anya, her reasoning for not wanting to say anything is so true. And Buffy, no matter what proof is thrown at her, always believes Angel. I am really looking forward to where you take this. |

Thank you! About bloody time someone came in with the scientific approach to those numbskulls. Willow, of all people, being Miss Science Brain, should have made the proper hypothesis, but even she got caught up in what Giles and Angel pounded into their heads from the very beginning.
The Council only maintains those suppositions so that their girls won't have crises of conscience about staking and killing demons. Who'd WANT to be a nightly executioner to sentient beings?
That stuff always bugged the hell out of me because it wasn't LOGICAL. It didn't make sense! You can't observe Spike and not come to the conclusions that he's both sentient and capable of emotion without being seriously delusional, even deranged. Even if vampires only "acted" the emotions they used to hold as a human, that would still imply intelligence and conscious thought to carry out that act. They inhabit a human brain, people...duh...what do you think it's going to be capable of? |
