| Sorry it took me so long to get back to this incredible story. Oh ya, the poofer will definately be there. So great to see Xander be a man for a change and except Spike for what he is to them all now. Always hated that Spike was so isolated from the other males. Another great chapter. Great read. |

I love, love, love the change in attitude everyone is having towards Spike. And one of my favorite lines in this chapter was “With that one look, Xander let go of past prejudices and became a man.” When is read it I did my own little happy dance.  And Buffy’s ‘valley girl persona’ so perfect for reviewing what Angel had told her and informing him that he was not needed as she had Spike. And I loved how she told Angel that his ‘get-out-of-jail-free card just expired’ and that he was not welcome in Sunnydale. And her wanting to be friends with Spike having enjoyed the camaraderie that he had experienced with Xander and Giles. And Spike always there for Buffy, even when that meant having a crushed hand. And I love how Penny gave Spike back his dignity, and that he chose to be a champion. I love how Spike always chooses to be a champion rather than have it forced upon him. Thank you for another fantastic chapter to this story. |

| Great chapter. I hope that is the last we hear of Angel, but I am sure it isn't. Angel is so sure he knows what is right for Buffy. The ending was perfect. Yeah Spike. |

**Xander let go of past prejudices and became a man** Wow! This definitely must be a fictional story because this never happened on the show!lol. I always hoped that they would let Xander be the goofy non prejudiced guy that we met in the very beginning of the show and not the one in later seasons!
I really loved Buffy's reaction to what Angel told her! I could so see Angel showing up though (for her own good of course) to make her understand that he is a champion and everything he does (like seduces a teen, running away, messing with people's minds) was all for his love for her. I so hope that he gets the crap beat outta him!
Loving the story and how everyone seems to be taking the information in stride and actually is listening! I see some good things coming of this on the horizon! |

I vant to be champion, well he could always football for Manchester Uniter...well that wouldn't work what with his sun alergy..heheee
Right so no doubt tall dark and forehead will be making an appearence soon, You have to wonder what's in that large craniom of his don't you?Sawdust no doubt.
Spike wants to be a Champion so he is going to go fight for his soul sooner rather than later. Knowing spike he'll probably do it singing Queen 'We are the champions'
Buffy won't have to sacrifice herself because Glory thinks the key is non tangible so no self sacrificing, which in turnmeans no abusive Buffy and back from the dead Buffy so no weakening of the gateways of dimensions, so no The First meaning no need for Spike to sacrifice himself and end up as a ghost at W&H...cool amazing how changing one thing like the person who Glory thinks is the Key can change the entire structure of season 6 and 7, you can probably also add Willow not going all end the world because with them being friends with the gang Spike needs not make a BuffyBoy and Warron can run away like he originally planned.
well still loving it, off to bed now.

| Nicely done! I love the friendliness the Scoobies are showing to Spike, especially Xander. I'm almost hoping Angel does decide to go to Sunnydale, that way Buffy can show him she wasn't kidding. |

it would be a surprise if Angel isn't going to show up to "rescue" Buffy from Spikes evil clutches
I always thought all Spike needed was a little support and some pointers in the right direction and he would have been that champion years ago
I'm glad Buffy is not only accepting of all the facts Penny provides, but also tries to act on what she learned, no vaction for Buffy in egypt this time around

I think Angel will show up too. He never knows what he's supposed to leave alone and what he is supposed to deal with.
Great bit where Buffy tells him him everyone likes Spike and he's a better fighter. Hee!
And Wes is definitely the right person to pick to get rid of Angel if necessary.
