So Whistler may be on the side of Evil? Interesting. Always thought he was a bit off. Can't wait to have Buffy find Angel. Another wonderful chapter.
Thank you..its always been a question of mine.

I am absolutely loving this story. Your depiction of Angel is hilarious and realistic based on his actions on the show.

I love the monk/ key twist. But I really can't wait for Angel to get his.

Great chapter! See, I knew the claim was the right thing for them. Hmm, now what to do about the annoying Poof and his smelly Fence-sitter?
We will get there...eventually

*claps hands enthusiatically* I love Wolfie - er, your character, um not... oh hell. Jacks!! Why did you have to name the cool bigfoot after the house pup/perv. lol
'Cause now I can get away with calling him a 'strangly mutated gerbil'
fallen_angel04/20/2006 08:33 am
so who hired angel? hey i have an idea, lets forget about who Angel is working for and just dust him!
That seems to be the popular choice...but you do realise I'm evil, right?
Richard04/19/2006 12:08 pm
FINALLY, someone points out that Whistler is NOT a good guy. And by implication that it takes more than "I'm from the Powers, do as I say!" to establish one's credentials.
You would think!
slinkypsychokit04/19/2006 10:48 am
Yep, my opinion hasn't changed. Angel's a git. Spike's a nummy treat. And Buffy did, indeed, make the right choice with the claim.
Amazing how much in sinc we are
Bridget04/19/2006 09:10 am
Good chapter.
Thank you
Tamara04/19/2006 08:57 am
She certainly did make the right choice with the claim.

I have to agree
Pin04/19/2006 08:37 am
This explains so much ... Great chapter; looking forward to another confrontation with Angel because you make them so much fun!
We will see Angel in the next chapter
Karyn04/19/2006 08:32 am
wonderful update!!! i loved it! great explanation of the powers...giggles...and whistler as a fence sitter...giggles more!

Well he never struck me as a convincing rep for the PTB if they were meant to be good guys!
Kat04/19/2006 08:07 am
hmmm ok now one has to wonder whether this paradox problem will every actually be solved lol
They need the expert!
Shadow04/19/2006 08:07 am
sooo Whistler works sometimes for balance and sometimes for evil... I'm gonna go with EVIL when he sicced the neandrathal pedophile on Buffy...

*dissolves the entire Council in a vat of acid* Keeping the slayer from the GOOD side of the supernatural world... BAD COUNCIL!

At least they got the claim right *Snicker* I WANNA SEE SOME SPUFFY LOVINS!

Great Chapter Jack... MORE!
Hon, unless you want them to get down in front of Buffy's mum, sister, watcher, teacher, a monk and an overgrown beaver...you're gonna have to wait (Evil...yeah I know)
Harry 4Eyes04/19/2006 07:38 am
OK Ok i'm confused, so was Angel hired by the Balance or the Evil Powers? And if he was told by the Powers to help why didn't he? Probably knew Angel Himself likes to sit on the bench and would not be of much use if he was hired by the balance and the evil knew he thinks too much of himself that he'd be more of an hindrence than anything...who knows...no me that's for sure.

Um...Angel wouldn't STILL be at the Library waiting for the Watcher would he? he looks like the kind of bloke that might still be there.

I see how Glory could cause a bit of a Paradox of sorts, if Glory cannot get the Key, what will she do now, will she still go on a killing spree to get to her non existent key? Actually not much of a Paradox as Spike already knows the identity of glory's Alter Ego and can eliminate the problem if need be.

Now the whole Paradox caused with 2 Buffy exisiting in one line can cause a few problems, like for example is it safe for future Buffy and Present Buffy occupy the same space or would the two of them meeting cause a implosion of past meeting future and end up destroying one or the other Buffy or even both? Or would it cause the two to merge as they are esentially the same person?

Also as I have mentioned the Paradox of Spike himeself, with the claim being the beginning of them mating who does this Spike belong to as he has merged with his past self so both past and future Buffy can lay claim to the same person, and if future Buffy claimed Spike as her mate then wouldn't that mean that Buffy Jnr cannot make her move on Spike until the point where she is the same age as Buffy Snr? Because she cannot challenge the claim placed by herself in the future as technically the she hasn't made the claim to challenge it...lol...did that make any sense at all?

Well still loving it
Update soon
Harry
Both or either Harry, Whistler works for both of them on occasion. Angel tends to give up and put things in the too hard basket...maybe he'll be able to answer that question better. You have to remember the PTB for B&E were testing Angel, they didn't care what happened to Buffy.

Nope not still at the library, there'll be more about that in the next chapter.

The question of Paradoxs haven't been answered yet.
letitia04/19/2006 07:32 am
well now I get a glimpse at really why Whistler was there. And it is great to finally get some answers. Wonder what they are all going to do when Wolfie tells them the rest. I can't wait to find out what he has to say as well.
Neither can I...Wolfie can be cryptic when he wan't to be
pretty_in_fangs04/19/2006 06:39 am
Hee hee hee. You gotta love validation of your claim by the POwers of Good.
Yup...kinda takes the edge off
Irina04/19/2006 05:21 am
Wolfie is shaping up to be quite an interesting and helpful character. I enjoyed reading what he had to say. Great chapter!
Thank you, I agree Wolfie is an interesting and helpful character
Robyn04/19/2006 04:55 am
I like the clarification that the council actually hinders the Slayer because of their no tolerance policy. This really gives Buffy something to think about, on top of everything else that she is learning. I am looking forward to why the claim is the right choice.
So am I...at the moment though...I got nothing
Elizabeth Anne Summers04/19/2006 03:48 am
Smut Smut Smut?
give 'em time! lol
MarzBar04/19/2006 03:35 am
Wolfie is a great messenger with the potential to be a great ally if the Scoobies and Giles don't interfere. More story please.
This Giles is not likely to interfer...not sure about the scoobies yet
kim04/19/2006 03:15 am
*Pets the nice Wolfie* They have their own Chewie!

Hee hee, sorry. *snigger*

Nice take on Whistler's job...interesting angle. Knowing Buffy, she's putting a guilt complex on herself, again, for her lack of judgement about Angel. Go Dawn, for reminding Spike about his own logic. Joyce has been pretty quiet so far. Hee hee, and now the claim comes into discussion. Seems to be more helpful than they already thought.
The guilt may take some time to sink in...there's a lot going on for her right now
