I'm reading your story at the Crypt, but I had to find a way to give you a little love back.
I absolutely love this fiction. It's my favorite in a long time.
I see it as a magnification of the s/p relationship in season 6. Spike is obseessed with Buffy and is her "slave." Buffy wants Spike but can't help hurting him. She is also possesive and secretice at the same time.
So it is the same dynamic as the show, but you've given it new life by intensifying it. Now the dynamic is more of a physical forse that neither can escape.
And it's hot! I love a dominent Buffy. |

As if Buffy's treatment of him wasn't bad enough, now Xander wants to beat him down? And of course, he had a chip before, you morons. Vampires don't show up looking half starved if they've been able to feed!! Where's the scientific logic Giles and Willow are supposed to possess, hmm?
I don't think tripping would necessarily set off the chip, anyway, since in itself, it is not an attempt to harm. It is a prank for humiliation. Biting, hitting, pinching - those are attempts to cause pain. Tripping someone isn't, 99% of the time.
I hope Anya will intercede with that famous no-bull way with words she has. The whole Scooby group needs to be shamed into next week.
This story pretty much just makes me angry, for Spike mostly. I( don't know if I can continue reading his debasement. |

I am really starting to hate Buffy in this. No, not because of her abuse of Spike...I can see that it is likely the primal in her and out of her control. What is pi$$ing me off royally is how she does NOT see how her WORDS are ripping him apart! She has NO regard for his emotions at all. She is only barely feeling guilty for the physical abuse and that isn''t the worst of it by far. It's all about HER as usual. I hate her for that in this story. Spike was better off in the hands of the initiative, at least THEY were open about the torture they had planned.
Excellent update....hope SOMEONE calls Buffy on her emotional abuse but it's more likely Spike will be blamed somehow.......sigh.
I love this story even if it is making me want to bitch slap Buffy for the next month.
