I'm glad you think so. A number of things bothered me immensely about Chosen, and this fic is one way to take those doubts and spin them into what I see as a sensible whole. it's a whole lot of fun - I've been planning this fic out for a while.  |

| Interesting start not-so-confused. Not sure I can believe that Buffy would actually tell Giles something right away instead of hiding out until things are totally out of control. You are going to bring back real-Spike, aren't you? |

By the end of season seven, I thought Buffy had matured into quite a general figure. Her decision to almost completely over look the defection of her nearest and dearest because she needed their skills to fight her war gave me some evidence of that, I think. So I imagine her shoving her emotional issues to the side and seeking those resources again when the battle is rejoined.
As for real Spike... I am all inclined to say "wait and see" coyly, but I suppose the fact that I am in a Spuffy archive kind of answers that one for me. |

| Perhaps at Seasonal_spuffy? That's where it debued (and where I debuted as a Buffy writer!) So double thank you for the double comment. It was so exciting to see feedback from an archive... I got all used to stingy Harry Potter fans, but this has been so very warm. |

| I am SO glad this isn't a one shot. You made a lot of valient points in just this chapter. Buffy whined plenty about not having a choice in her power and yet took away the choice of thousands. |
