| I understand that she's young and a little naive but she can't seriously want to stay with Angelus and...what? stop slaying, not live with her mom anymore, quit school? Stay with someone who would share her with another, even if it is hot and sexy Spike? Angelus would never treat her with emotion the way that Spike did, loving her body instead of just taking it. If he ever found out that she trusted Spike and not him, he'd dust Spike and turn her! Either way Angelus wins and it's all about the winning with him. Really good chapter. |
| Yes, I agree it is about winning (and possessing) for Angelus. But no one said anything about her quitting slaying, school or leaving her home (at least not right away). IF she can have her life the way she wants it, and the wicked good sex too, why not? I don't think she sees Angelus the way we do - at least not yet. And yes, I agree that Angelus would not react well to finding out just how close she is getting to Spike, even if he did facilitate it (at least in the beginning). |

Subconsciously Buffy already knows which vampire has honor and which does not. She trusts Spike whereas she can never trust Angelus. Really excellent well done chapter!
