| well Joyce did stand her ground when it came to letting Buffy take Spike. I can't believe that Buffy was going to strike her mother, but I am glad that Spike stopped her. And what is going on with Dawn's affect on Buffy?? Glad that at least Spike knows that Buffy is not abandoning him, but she is doing this for his own good. OHHH, I am so in love with this story. |

Great chapters. It was really scary reading the confrontation between Buffy and Joyce. Of course Spike would save the day.
What is the connection between Dawn, Buffy and Spike? Did the monks create Dawn out of the essences of Buffy and Spike? Please update soon. |

| Wonderful chaper - scary and moving at the same time. How do you do THAT? Now, who's gonna finally call Giles and tell hime the WHOLE sorry story? Joyce and Dawn are good, but they obviously need reinforcements. Waiting on pins and needles for the next installment. |

| Another table gripper chapter. I am so concerned with the thing that has taken over Buffy and I really felt for Joyce's predicament in this chapter. You will do anything possible to help a child without regard for your own safety. |

and i bet nobody (except maybe joyce and dawn) will give spike any credit for the major risk he took to stop buffy from hurting joyce -- not exactly the act of an evil monster, more like a real hero!

I hesitated to breathe through most of that chapter...so scared for Joyce. Dawn usuing a little Key influence?
Knew as soon as Buffy drew her fist back that Spike wouldn't let her touch Joyce.
Buffy never seemed to learn the old addage "What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." Lying NEVER makes it better. NEVER comes out right, and good. Her pride and secrets have been causing nothing but pain. |
glad it could be so moving to you...yes, dawnie will prove to be the "key" in this story in more ways than one...you're right, she could have made things a lot easier by being honest right up front  |

| Not sure if the tears in my eyes are from anger at Buffy-yet again walking out and not dealing- or from empathy for the loss that Spike is feeling now. Either way, they're there. Good job JL! |
