| I loved this chapter. Xander saving a seat for Spike, Spike almost missing his first kiss from Buffy, and Giles’ responses to Angel’s demands were all fun. And I loved Spike’s inquiry as to why Angel needed redemption |

| Absolutely LOVED the chapter. Angel just never knows when to shut up. And to finally have young Buffy say do the spell was great. Young Spike was the one to finally break the last chain for Buffy/Joan and William was going to finally get lucky... HA!!! |

Hmm....don't think i've ever thought of it like that before, his soul does not need redemption...well Angels soul does need redemption because he was a messed up arse before he was turned. I always figured his soul felt the guilt his demon carried out and needed redemption. But that would not explain Spike when he got his soul, there wasn't any changes in the person, with the exception of more understanding of others feelings. amd knowing right from wrong. his demon is seeking repemption and his soul is being his guide. Well that's just one of the many different angles you can look at it.
Somebody give Angel a lollipop he looks like he is about to cry because his parents won't buy him the latests and greatest PS game. He does sound allot like a spoilt kid doesn't he?
Oooh that elf sounds cute, and deadly, you should let her play with Angel for a little while atleast

Well this chapter was great. Angel and his attitude is really funny to read about. I usually like a more balanced Angel but in this story it works really well the way he seems to think he's above them all. |

If Angel is the one to be redeemed then he is the one that committed the crimes and if he wants to be redeemed he has to admit he's guilty in the first place. |

A lot of fun, but it was disturbing that the deliberations didn't include a couple of important issues.
First, what would happen to the bound soul / demon after Angel dusted? After all, we're not talking about Angel's soul here.
Second, what will happen to the soul *before* Angel dusted? As Buffy saw so graphically, it's being corrupted by the demon. |

Yeah, that was always a "duh" thing for me, too. Why does a soul that never did those things, made those choices, responsible for them? Yes, the FEELING of guilt will be there, because of the memories, but the actual responsibility belongs to the demon. The soul is only responsible for what it did while it was in the body.
