My claims tend to vary considerably from story to story, depending on what I need them to be; but in this case, yes, he would know if she was in danger, but not until it was too late for him to get there. Better he gets a warning that things are getting hairy, so he can come back quickly to help out.

Doesn't that sum him up wonderfully? And it so is something I could hear him saying to her. He wasn't ever going to get over it and forget her. He's just not made that way
