Ohhhhh ... go Lawson. I like seeing his character in this as an ally. Very nice. I wonder what is going to happen with Jenner next. Glynnis is a bit bitchy, and I'm worried she will sell out to Angelus.

| Have a feeling that if Jenner sees something happen to Faith, he'll enter the fight. Lawson won't be alone anymore, now that he's got Spike and his family, hope he survives. Can't wait to see what you do about Willow and Angelus. Will the hounds get what they want and will Angelus be ensouled again or dusted. As a side note, do you have any say in who will play Dr. Donovan when they cast the role? You know James does great accents? Just somthing to think about. Eagerly awaiting your next up date. |

| Okay. So happy to see the chapter. I am so glad that at least Jenner will stand down.. Don't know if his side will stand down or just give Angel and Dru a heads up.. What a way for Faith to find out about the new itit bity Buffy.. And knew Lawson was special. Just glad that Buffy was there when they perform the ritual. |

Still loving this story!  ~ Jenner agreed; and now he'll be neutral at last. Like Spike uses to say: Magic has always consequences yet I thought being protected sounds good. But on the hellmouth? Who knows what can happen there. ~ And Faith knows now that Buffy is pregnant; almost the last one to know, huh? And very unexpected for her. ~ But it seems the hounds have the task to protect Buffy. ~ And I'm sure Buffy prefers this ritual above the other *gg* (SR is down so you'll get your review here) |

| I'm so sorry you are having a rough time writing this story but I can tell you that it is worth the wait every time. I love the opening sequence where you see what is going on through Giles' point of view and I love the contrast in characters of Oz and Xander. I always love when Spike bites someone so I can't wait for the next chapter. Hopefully it comes easier than the last. |

A very good chapter. You're at your best when things are unfolding, one after another. This is more difficult as the story reaches a climax and gains focus since focus is anti-epic. Probably because the pacing synchronizes with the main "action", which isn't always that interesting, and desynchronizes from everything else. Yet despite the difficulties you still manage to retain the expansiveness and even add new details.
Having said all that, this chapter could have been better. 5 out of 6 scenes are strong and 1 is weak. The problem is that the weak scene is both the last, which leaves a definite impression, and the longest. That's actually why it's weak; it's too long for the amount of new meaningful things (ideas, events, thoughts OR emotions) in it. Quite a bit of that scene is just reiterating known things (Sam has no loyalty to Angelus) or justifying an obvious decision (Sam retaining so much humanity). |
