| the reactions of spike and buffy make a heck of a read. throwing up on angel, besides being funny, was probably the best out of that situation. thanks for the fine read. |

| I love that Buffy threw up on Angel, it's a sort of karmic justice for what he put Buffy and Spike through as Angelus. I am really enjoying the confusion of Spike and Buffy and slow build towards finding out what is going on between them. Thanks for the updates. |

| Eeeewwwwwww! Oh that's sooo gross - I'm almost tempted to say poor Angel. Almost, lol. And it bloody well serves Spike right. Though I do feel for him his situation is self-inflicted which in our house means NO PITY (oh we ARE cruel aren't we?) Please. More soon. |

First time reviewing, though I've been reading all along (bad galatea!). I just *had* to review after this chapter - Buffy actually tossing her cookies all over Angel was hilarious.
Personally, I love how confused Buffy and Spike are, and am enjoying the journey of them slowly trying to put the pieces together of what's happened to them. |

| Congratulations on your nomination you deserve it. It's a great story. You'll have to forgive us lover's of Spike. We just hate to see him in pain for too long but will try and be patient for as long as your muse thinks it's necessary. To bad Buffy didn't puke on Angel! now that would have been funny. If there is no more update's before Tue. have a happy and safe July 4th to you as well as to all my fellow Americans. |

Thanks for the response - I'm a "why" kind of girl. It was my favorite question as a little kid. So, that's really what I was trying to get across, is that I want to see them asking "why" do I feel like this, when it isn't natural, etc., 'cause that would be my first question, LOL.
I do realize that Spike doesn't know about the bite, so he's at a big disadvantage there. I think they'd probably make a lot of headway if they put all their cards on the table with each other - full disclosure in a logical fashion...yeah, I know, not everyone thinks of a scientific approach...
Poor Angel, he really can't deny his theory about Buffy and Spike anymore. |

| I'm so loving this story. And I love the fact that neither of them have a clue of what's going on. It puts them on much more equal footing and doesn't give Buffy as much of a chance to ream Spike for having done this to her on purpose. |

I *love* the fact that Spike and Buffy are still in the dark about the claim, and what it means. In most claiming stories, Spike (or even worse, Buffy) is suddenly a font of information about the whole thing. That's always frustrated me. Characters spontaneously having information, with little or no explanation given for why they have it.
It's also a lot of fun watching them try to figure out what's going on. |

| This is so very good. Each and every chapter has totally been worth the wait...sooo...of course, anyone would bear with you. Thanks again for a wonderfully well done chapter. I could really feel the emotions each of them were going through. And, Angel getting it...? Great! |

| Ok that was worth the wait to see her vomit on Angel. Great chapter. Can't wait for more. |

| Great chapter!! I love Spike's thoughts and Buffy's scene with Angel. Wow, you did a splendid job capturing both Spike and Buffy's emotions during that kissing scene...I felt them! Oooh, and that spewing scene....lol!! Many a time I felt that way while watching Buffy or Spike kissing someone else. Can't wait for another! |

| Nice epiphany for Spike. At least he knows what he wants now. And, urgh, bonus creepy points for making him feel her with someone else thru the claim. Ha! Angel got his. I think her saying Spike's name had to be more damaging to his ego then the vomit, although that was a nice touch. Can't wait for more. Have a great holiday. |

| Thanks for the quick update. I am glad Buffy threw up on Angel (very funny) The agony that Spike and Buffy must be experiencing sounds horrific. Please update soon. |

The one niggle I have with that is that if Spike had ever heard a mention of claims, he would have tried it on Dru, because he wanted her to be his so desperately...and if something made him curious, then he would have read about it or talk to someone....I'm hoping your reason will be a good one, cause these feelings for both of them are just too abnormally weird just to come from sex, you know? There would have to be a mystical or magical reason, and at least one of them should be trying to find out what's the cause, you know? They don't have to jump to "claim" right away, but something...that's where I've been at. Willow could even suggest it to Buffy, since Willow's natural jump would be to "spell!"
The feelings are well done in both of them, though. No problem there. And all the craziness surrounding them...the friend reactions...all good. |
The thing is, Buffy and Spike live in a world where there can be a thousand and one answers for one problem. I have taken into consideration that Spike would have tried it on Dru, though he would have been too devastated if, oh say, Dru's visions forewarned her and knocked him down a few notches. Furthermore, Spike has absolutely no idea that he bit Buffy - as far as he knows, he's seen every inch of her, and honestly believes that her unwillingness to let him go down on her has everything to do with their first traumatic night together and nothing to do with a bite mark.
Spike is coming around to believing it's a spell, as the pain grows worse. I think it's easier for us to see it because we know what happened, and it's obvious to us what's going on. Neither Buffy nor Spike think it's natural, but neither want to admit the possibility that the other stuff they're feeling isn't real - even Spike, who wants it to be real, yet curses himself for wanting it to be real.
I'm so glad that you've put that much thought into this, though. I love knowing that people are actually, well, thinking about the story, rather than just reading it. =) |
