Very powerful chapter with the realizations all around that Buffy saw, felt and lived through their eyes.
I got a big kick out of Giles telling Angel off with his ... he is my family and stolen by yours ... bit. That was so cool. Kick arse Giles (so long as it is for Buffy and Spike and not against them) is a treat to see.

| One thing done at last. Thanks to Anya the claim is broken now. And apparently it opened Buffy eyes a bit more, regarding Angel(us). But now Angel wants to have William back. Good then he won't get him :-D And now Anya has to reverse Willow's spell. Buffy has to relieve their memories if she has bad luck? Well I don't think she'll like what she'll see. No, it was a bit hard for her, seeing her friends this way. |

What an amazing sequence of events! It was a good idea for
Buffy to see those memories, that way she would have all the facts to help her to work through their relationships. Alway enjoy it when Giles identifies Spike as part of his family. Thank you so much for this wonderful story. |

I would really like to know which prat thought it was a good idea to give William the surname Pratt...That sentence should explain why I have a problem with it. Seriously, can you imagine being called an idiot all your life?
Well looks like Willow is salvagible....barely. Xander was a goner from the beginning, so he's not going to be any help. Angel needs dusting. Maybe Bring back Oz that would be cool, and bring in Tara somehow....they'd make a cute couple, one too shy to talk and the other who just doesn't want to...lol
Ooohh so is Angel going to order Buffy to terminate William in the next update? I think he'd posted some spoilers that's why it's familiar. otherwise i'm phychic and didn't even realise...lol
I'd like to see Angel explain his way out of this situation considering Buffy has already been in his head and knows his reasoning...

| I think it was Mark Twain (maybe) who said that 99% of a man's life takes place inside his head. It's like some actual event takes place in the physical world but it's the motivations/machinations that lead to these events and our experiences of them that give them their meaning. I'd imagine it would be difficult enough experiencing your own life as a slayer let alone adding everyone else's baggage to the mix. I guess it's one way to feel 50 pounds heavier in just five minutes - though I prefer to do it with chocolate myself. LOL. More soon please? |

I loved how Anya tricked Angel into releasing Buffy from his claim. And William being related to Giles is such an exciting development. I'm a little worried about how possesive Angel is acting toward William though. I really enjoyed Buffy's eye opening look into Willow and Angel's memories. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Great chapter!

Wow, there was real power with those memories.
I love how Anya got Angel to break the claim and the immediate affect it had on Buffy. That coupled with the view she got of his and the others memories should hopefully help her in the way Anya and Giles would like. With what she has just learned she is really going to need theirs and William’s support as she sorts through what she has learned and regains her equilibrium. I hope this also helps her stand by and stand up for Anya when it comes to Xander and Willow. I love the family connection between Giles and William, though it makes me a bit unhappy about how poorly he treated Spike when he came for help. I am really enjoying this story and I am looking forward to the aftermath from what Buffy has just learned.

| Excellent story. I absolutely love it. I cannot wait to read more, especially to see how Buffy kicks Angel's butt for even thinking that he is so superior. Go Giles protecting William. I always hated that that man's character got so tainted as the seasons rolled by. Hope to see more tomorrow. |

| Ouch. Poor Buffy. All that vitriolic filth spewed at her. Well the veil has been lifted, now how is she going to handle it? And how does everyone reacte to the spell being broken? Not to mention Angel realizing he broke his claim, which I doubt he would have done under normal circumstances. Can't wait to find out. |

And now she knows...You can finally be an adult, Buffy, seeing your 'friends' through realistic eyes, instead of the rosy tint of youth. Learning about the missing day should finally put to rights her feelings for Angel, and what they'd had - rather, what she'd had in the relationship, since her feelings came from a different place than his.
Giles knowing the familial relation all along, and yet, treating Spike that way?
I don't suppose sire's blood would be helpful, since Spike's body is functioning as human now... |
| You need to remember that without the soul there is no familial link. The demon is not related to Giles. I imagine having the body of a relative so close and someone else possessing his body would make you a little resentful towards the possessor. |
