| I really love how truthful Spike is, he was truthful when he trusted her and now he is telling her point blank exactly what she did and why she is no longer worthy of his trust. She really did end up with exactly what she was working for. |

You realize this should pretty much break Buffy? Her fears have become self-fulfilling. And whatever head she may have made during the earlier chapters will be destroyed by this proof: Her love is dangerous, hurtful. I honestly don't know how you intend to go forth from here.
I'm not sure this is fixable even with someone they both trust to run interference. If you can find that someone. Joyce may have been able to, but she's dead.

| well, i'm not sure i agree..i think she could pick up on the fact that it's not her love, but her *denial* of her love, that hurt spike...this is fixable, but not without a lot of hard work on buffy's part |

| And I repeat, Ouch. Am I right to be anticipating a emotional breakdown on Buffy's part? She KNOWS she f***ed up. She not only has to apologize and make him realize she means it, but she has to explain her frame of mind for the whole set up. Not that "for his own good" is really going to go over real well with Spike either, but she does at least owe him that. I'm really feeling for her in this fic, and S6 Buffy was not someone who I could dredge up alot of sypathy for. Excellent update. I understand his anger now. *lightbulb flashes* Can't wait for the next chapter. |

| I'm getting a little sick of crying because of this fic. I want a happy ending now! *sniff* Otherwise, that was a great chapter, I'm always so impressed with how you are able to capture Spike's (or Buffy's for that matter) emotion so well, and to be able to display it in a way that they would.... did that sentence make any sense?? It basically means good characterization... Anyways, great chapter, and im really *really* REALLY anxiously awaiting the next one. |

| Very intense chapter. I thought it odd that after all he had been through that night, he'd chose that very moment to freak out, but his explanation makes sense. It's mean of me to say, but I'm almost glad she lost at her own game. She was so cruel and selfish that she deserves this. Let's just hope she can find a way to make it up to him. Oh well, if Spike is single, I'm available lol ;) |

| Wow...Buffy's really messed up. Be careful what you wish for, you may get it. Too bad she hasn't learned that the feelings don't stop because you've stop saying the words. She will have to grovel, BIG TIME, and I hope she does. If only there was a way for her to prove that she trusted *his* love for her like she says she does. Get ready to beg, Slayer! |

| great fantansic brilliant wonderful i can't praise this fic enough i gets better every chapter i ca't believe buffy want and broke spike so now he won't trust her again when he did before she started this stupid game with his emotions stupid buffy she needs her backside smacked repeatadly |

It's not going to matter now if she explains her whole thought process to him. Even if he'd believe that she loves him after the whole speech, he still wouldn't trust her.
She didn't stop to think about anything but her own self, didn't save him any pain at all, so she really doesn't deserve him. It would take years for her to deserve him.
He shouldn't trust her anymore. After all, she's not even sane. Her delusions and cruelty prove that. Angelus would be so proud of her little mind game. She accomplished something even he could never do to Spike.
Kick her bony ass out the door. |
