I really like Dru and love how she was shown in this chapter, her acceptance and want to be with her family, her not wanting her 'daddy', and her messages to Xander, Willow, and William. I like how Dru died and that it wasn't on William's or Spike's hands and that she let Xander, and everyone else, know that he wasn't at fault. I loved Buffy's response when Angel grabbed her and well as her final comment to him.  |

You did such a good job with Dru as a character (damaged, certainly, but I felt sympathy for her) and her dusting was thoughtfully done.

| Yes!!!! now allthey have to do is get the nerds to help with the time machine. It took all night and part of the morning but I read all 41 chapters and it's been amazing as have your words. Can't wait the your next update, and will there be any Spuffy lovin before it's done? or in this case Joum or Wilan? Love it so much. |

| all I can say is WOW... Missed this story and I just love the chapter I just read. I can't believe that Dru is now really done. And Angel just got what he deserved. Loved that Buffy was the one who actually did it. But I can't believe that I am saying this but I did actually feel sorry for Dru but glad that she is at peace now. |

Fially gave into all the demands didn't you? Oh well so I couldn't convince you to save Dru from Dustage, but I mainly wanted her sane so she had the chance to dust Angel, but it looks like He staking is what got him dusted so i'm happy
Well wasn't expecting it, but won't complain....and to think one instant and they can relax for a year now as the next big bad doesn't really make an appearence for another year. Willow can afford to learn control as she doesn't need to worry about souling the forehead, the Watcher doesn't lose the love of his life so he won't be a sad git. Buffy doesn't get her heart shattered so she'll be much more happy, And Xander won't end up hating Vamps more than he does already. So really everyone's better off...well except Cordy who'll end up unemployed and dead within a couple of months of moving to LA because of the rich vamp who tries to kill her....Really quite amazing how one thing can change so many things....also Kendra doesn't die by the hands of Dru so it's possible Faith won't get called, so the Mayor should be easir to defeat...and even if she is called, with the group dynamic changing so much and the introduction of Spike in the group he will be able to help her before she goes off the rails.
Gotta say the whole Xander dusting Dru by accident was hilarious.

Well, that was dramatic. Angelus coming to the fore that way is pretty subtle, and was nice.
One thing that bugs me is that almost every author repeats the claim that Willow needs control. She doesn't, she needs self-control. Or even better, she needs to learn how to relax and go with the flow, which is actually the opposite of self-ontrol.
Either way, the last thing Willow needs is to become the All Controlling Puppet Master. It bugs me that most authors don't make the association between 'control' and 'evil puppetmaster'.
I'd ask "what's up with that?" but I know what's up with that. Mindless repetition. The same mindless repetition that's given us King Canute thinking he could drive back the sea; he didn't, he just sought to prove one of his more obsequious advisers wrong. Or hey, how about that albatross.... |
As Dru said that Willow needs to 'learn control' and not to *learn how to be controlling* or even *learn how to control* the grammatical inference is that the control she needs to learn is over self.
Willow does need control - so that she won't become controlling.
Don't worry about your mistake; subtle nuances within the English Language are difficult for people from non-English speaking countries.
