| This chapter was just painful and it's really sad that the only way for Spike to keep those he loves safe is to go through the horror and torture from the Slayer. I am really hoping that his torment will all be over soon. It’s nice to be caught up again and I am really looking forward to the next updates. |

| I've been following this story since you started and I can only hope that the Spike torture stops. I think he has more than proven himself and his love as well as his loyalty. Please no more torture. I am ready for some healing and Spuffy love...maybe 10 chapters worth!! |

I like the story but the endless torture is getting a bit boring by now.
I don't really get why Mr_Chaos is thinking Buffy doesn't care and she is so horrible. I find her quite the opposite. Very compassionate, loving and understanding in the later part of this story.
The ongoing ritual seems to be the ONLY way to defeat the demon and it is something they absolutely don't want to do but they just don't have any options left at this time. They both agreed to it and Buffy is trying to make it as easy as possible for Spike.
No. I don't get the idea at all that Buffy somehow wants Spike to be raped and humiliated. |

Ok, so for once I am not going to complain aobut Spike being stripped of his manhood.
I am going to say something else: I hate Buffy.
And I don't mean, "I hate the being in Buffy"
No, I mean I hate Buffy Summers.
Except for part ofa paragraph in this chapter, she has never felt sorry for what she is currently doing to Spike. I don't sense any remorse, any saddness, any regret. When she tells him to let himself be raped by the Slayer, she isn't sorry, she isn't going, "I feel so bad about this."
She's mad that HER MATE is sleeping with the demon. She's mad...yea, and I'm mad that her ass hole little friends that she still defends did this to Spike. Does that mean we can all force her to f--- Clem? (...well, that's an interesting image)
Hell, I sense more of her desire for the demon to rape and beat him then I feel sorrow from her. I don't know,maybe the comments about what she will do to Spike later, in her mind (look, i'm acting like she's a real person!) are a form of apology.
They ain't.
They are more empty promises: YOu face horrific torture, be raped by our enemy, dothings you don'twant to do and loss your dignity, and when this is over we can boink in the woods! Yea!
Notice the sarcasm.
Maybe I am spoiled in Trusting You, where Buffy has to pay the Piper. In that story, she has to fight to prove herself to Spike, fight to gain his acceptance. Here,she is hurting him, expects him to befine with it, shows no emotion other then anger and demand. I can only hope that when Spike beats the Slayer, and buffy comes out, she does not find a happy Spike.
I really hope that, as a writer, youwill not take the cheap way out. Buffy has to pay the emotional piper here, and there is alot more story to be told: Willow, Giles...they both need to be dealt with. Dawn's story needs to be wrapped up...and Spike...
After everything done to Spike, you owe him a chance to glare at Buffy,tell her that he loves her but needs time, and then have HER work her hardest to make it up to him.
Please, don't do a, "We beat the dmeon, Spike is super happy, story ends." You are better then that. |
| i completely agree with you in some ways...but you must understand that at this point they're kind of out of options...there's nothing else they could really do, so she's just trying to make it as easy on him as possible, to make him forget what's happening so that they can *both* survive....thanx for the review, hope you like the rest |
