Whew! What a powerful, emotionally wrenching chapter. Fantastic. Man, has Spike got a dilemna on his hands. He's really walking a fine line here. Caught between not only the need to do physical damage to the demon in order to weaken her, but also his own demon's desire for revenge and all the while not wanting to hurt Buffy's body. And now he's also got to deal with the pressure of finding a way to keep Dawn safe. You are a wicked author, and I can't wait to see how you pull this off!  |

| You really are evil with the cliff hangers. I was so worried about Spike drinking from the bottle because the Slayer is cruel enough to force him to drink holy water, and yet what happened makes perfect sense, it would take him far to long to heal from such an injury and she wants Dawn dead now. Thanks for the update, I really enjoyed it. |

| NICE! I love you, but your cliffies are killing me here! I hope that him biting over the other mark works. I think it will, but hopefully it will be enought to allow Dawn to get to and weaken her. Really good chapter, and getting better and better! Keep it up! |

This seems a bit more hopeful and I can handle it more and it is still a great story. I look forward to the next installment and will look in the next couple of days.

| Great job! Although last chapter i did not feel this way, I find that this update it would be a near impossibility to mistake Buffy's objective as anything else other than win this battle with as little damage to *anyone* as possible. It was great to read another one of your chapters, and I'll be biting my nails until next time |

Finally getting to the draining.
I've always thought that if a vampire wanted to, they could drain you in seconds, at least enough to where you'd be ineffectual. |

You finally had Buffy realize and admit the major issue of this entire story....yeah you!
he would not be going through this, any of this, right now, if not for her terrible agreement, in the beginning, to Giles’ plan to bring Spike “under her control” – to take a creature already helpless and further violate his dignity and free will.
And the whole thing had been so utterly, completely unnecessary and destructive.

Giles and his needless plan just because he was tired of chaining Spike in the bathtub! Willow and her "improvements". Buffy and her insistance on seeing Spike as the evil vampire all for no real purpose and all leading to great pain and suffering especially for Spike. She needed to see and admit this. So glad you had her do so!!
Keep it coming. Looking forward to all getting their just reward.

| please don't take this the wrong way but i read your stories like i watch horror movies...with my hand over my eyes, peeking thru my fingers to avoid the icky parts...your stories captivate me yet wig me out...i need to know what's going on and how it ends but the journey is somewhat disturbing...kind like life though, i guess...keep writing you go a unique voice and i'll keep reading with my hands over my eyes |

OHHHHHHHHH but but you cant stop there - that is evil and cruel and just plain mean! You wicked woman, now I am going to have bitey fantasies all afternoon! I loved this chapter and how you are wrapping it up, I was terrified for Spike with the water and am so glad it is plain tap water now. Thank goodness, I can't wait to see what will happen next and how you are going to wrap this up. Thanks for the good read!
