Excellent beginning! I love that we got to see Spike’s perspective. Realizing that he had blown his secret to Dawn was great and the internal monologue was very in character. Spike does have the potential to change and hopefully Buffy will notice/realize that. Fantastic opening to what will hopefully be a wonderful fic.

Holy cow. That was... in a word? Awesome. I really enjoy your writing style... its super-easy to read, has a nice, oh, i dont know, rhythm, i guess. I'm going to read the rest of your stuff when I get a chance....
