One thing that some people do not realize is that emtional and mental torture and/or abuse is actually more damaging than physical abuse. Unless you've experienced it, you have no idea just what it does to your brain ... how it can turn the strongest person in the world into a simpering kitten if the right chord is struck. Mental and Emotional torture/abuse is not something I would ever wish on anyone as Angelus is doing to Buffy and Spike. It is a very interesting concept with heaps of potential... this latest chap showed a great deal of improvement on the earlier ones in terms of your confidence. You are beginning to flesh idea's out a little more. Don't be in such a hurry, take the time to explain things in more detail, to allow the reader to become immersed in the fic. Watch your characterisations and 'voices'... they are a little off, even more so in the earlier chapters. Look at the motivations and the feelings of your characters, don't be afraid to delve into them in greater depth. Also remember at all times that you are dealing with a very determined, willful and extremely strong Slayer.
If you don't have a beta already I suggest getting a good one and letting them help guide you into improving your fic. If you do have one then maybe you need to get another one as well, many writers use more than one beta for the same fic as some beta's are stronger in certain areas. I do hope you will take this advice in the manner in which it is offered, I really do think you could have a very good fic here with a little bit of work.
