Buffy awoke sometime in the middle of the night. She was completely at peace. She had, for the thousandth time, known exactly what she needed and given it to her. She snuggled closer to the sleeping vampire. She was surprised to find something hard prodding her stomach. He moaned in his sleep.

“Buffy,” he said. She smiled happily. He was dreaming about her! She moved silently away from him. She gently rolled him over on his back and pushed his legs apart. She sat between them and fastened her mouth over his cock. She swirled her tongue around the head. She glanced up and saw that Spike was awake. She relaxed her gag reflex and deep throated him. His eyes rolled back in his head. She swallowed around his cock. She grasped his balls in her hands and began to gently massage them.

After a moment Spike said, “Buffy, pet…I’m gonna..”

She knew exactly what he was about to do. She gave his balls one more squeeze and he came. She didn’t let a single drop of his cum escape her lips. When he was done, she straightened up.

“That,” he said, “is, without a doubt, the best way to wake up.” She smiled again. He loved seeing her happy. She crawled up the bed toward him. “Couldn’t sleep, kitten?” he said, “I guess I’ll have to do something to fix that.”

Buffy rolled over to get closer to Spike. When she didn’t come into contact with his hard chest, she opened her eyes and sat up. He was gone.

“He left me!” Buffy thought desperately. Then she saw Spike coming back down the stairs. He draped another blanket over the bed and he handed her a plate of pancakes.

“Morning, pet,” he said, “You were shivering. While I was upstairs, I heard you wake up and figured you’d want breakfast.” Then he spotted the relieved expression on her face. His own filled with both amusement and shock. “You thought I left,” he said. She didn’t answer. So he sat down next to her and kissed her. “I told you I would never leave you,” he said, “You still don’t believe me?”

“Sorry,” she said, “I’ve had one too many bad morning after experiences.”

“I understand,” he said, “Now eat you’re pancakes.”

When she finished, she said, “Hey Spike…do you have any ice cream in your refrigerator?”

It took him a second to catch on, but then he said, “Yeah, I do, but I don’t have any bowls. I guess you’ll have to find another way to eat it.” He chuckled.

Suddenly she said, “We left the guests all night.”

“They’re fine,” he said, “We have all day, too. Red and Tinkerbell are handling everything. Now…back to the ice cream.”

“So, where are Buffy and Spike really?” Dawn asked.

“If you don’t ask again, I’ll give you a cookie,” Willow said.

“You have all day to spend with Conner…and Buffy isn’t here to watch you,” Tara said.

“Oooo…good idea!” Dawn said. She walked off and found Conner. “Do you want to go to go to the movies and to Starbucks with me?” she said.

“Like a date?” he asked.

“Not like a date, it would be a date,” she said impatiently.

“Let’s go,” he said.

“Should we tell your dad?” Dawn asked.

“Absolutely not,” Conner said, “That would be a very bad idea. He and Cordelia might come along. They’re practically glued at the lips….ahem…I mean…the hips.”

Dawn giggled and smiled. Conner smiled back at her. He hadn’t smiled in a long time and it felt odd to do so. At the same time, it felt really good. As they walked out the door, Dawn said to Tara, “Could you cover for us? We’re going out on a date.”

“Sure,” Tara said.

Several minutes later, Angel and Cordelia walked up. “Have you seen Conner?” Angel asked.

“I.. I sent him to the store to get something,” Tara stuttered.

“Okay,” Angel said.

At sunset, Buffy and Spike walked in the door. Both looked peaceful and well rested. They were holding hands and smiling.

“Long shopping trip…huh?” Cordelia said.

Buffy opened her mouth to answer and Spike laid his hand on her arm. “We patrolled after we went to the store,” he said, “We were caught by surprise when the sun came up, so we stayed in my old crypt until it went down.” He shrugged. Angel sniffed the air. Spike could tell that he knew exactly what they had been doing, but Angel tactfully kept silent. They began to walk up to the bathroom to take a shower.

“I guess you two had a serious conversation in your bedroom,” Angel said in a voice so quiet that only Spike could hear it. Spike turned toward him. Angel was grinning. Spike grinned back.

He said, “I guess we did.”

“Where’s Dawn?” Buffy asked, “I haven’t seen her since we returned.”

“Conner’s gone, too,” Angel said suspiciously.

Willow gulped. “They’re at the movies,” Tara said.

“Without supervision?” Buffy asked incredulously.

“Um…they’re at the movies,” Willow said helpfully.

Buffy and Spike exchanged looks. Buffy said, “Let’s go.”

“They deserve some time alone,” Spike protested.

“Do you really want Dawn alone with a teenage boy?” she asked.

“Hey,” Angel said, “He’s my son.”

“Alright,” Spike said, “Let’s go. Angel convinced me.”

Buffy snickered behind her hand.

They slipped into the movie quietly. Spike quickly located Dawn and Conner. Buffy was staring at the screen in horror. “Dawn should not be watching this,” was all she could manage to say, “This is a very bad, R-rated movie.”

“What?” Spike said with a snort, “Aren’t you miss mom, now? What’s next? Mom hair? For crying out loud, pet, she’s 16. I am absolutely positive that you and the poof went to see movie that were much worse than this.” She blushed. It was true.

Suddenly she said, “Do I have mom hair?”

He chuckled and said, “No, you’re fine. You have sexy girlfriend hair.” She breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly, he gasped. “He’s going to kiss her.”

“They’re on a date,” Buffy said impatiently.

“Yeah…but…”

“Come on, let’s go,” she said, “I am now satisfied that they are doing nothing wrong.”

“But…but..”

Buffy grabbed his hand and they walked out of the theatre. “You’re right,” she said, “I did things that were way worse than this. She has a right to date and sneak out of the house. She does have a cell phone in case something happens.”

“I don’t want to be right anymore,” he complained. She pulled him into an alley and kissed him.

“Let’s go patrol,” she said, “It will distract you so you won’t worry about Conner and Dawn.”

“I know other things that would distract me much better,” he said curling his tongue behind his teeth.

“No, we haven’t patrolled for a week,” she said, “I’m surprised that Sunnydale isn’t over run by now.”

“Okay,” he said sulkily, “Patrol it is.”
