Thanks to my lovely Beta MarzBar for making sure I don't write anything stupid.

“There is probably another spell,” Buffy said, “Check again.”

“Nope,” Spike said rather happily, “No other spells. Are you sure it says we only have to kiss?”

“Pig!” she exclaimed, “What else do we need?”

“It says here that all we need to do is mix the blood of two enemies, say the spell, and snog. That’s not too hard, is it?” he said. ‘She’s so adorable when she’s mad.’

“Let me see that book.” She yanked it out of his hands and re-read the spell, scowling. “You’re sure there’s no other way? I do not want to kiss you. You’re gross and evil.” ‘And sexy and muscular and sexually experienced…shut up brain you’re not helping.’

“Well, if I have to kiss a beaut…I mean a girl in the line of duty, so be it,” Spike said cheerfully. He had expected the spell to be much worse in the department of blood and human sacrifice. Besides, there were much worse things he could be doing. Maybe this kiss would get the Slayer out of his system. Every time he looked at her, his stomach did flip-flops. Thinking about Drusilla brought almost no reaction. ‘That bossy chit must have put a spell on me,’ he thought, ‘There is no other explanation for me feeling like I love her…huh? Love…no..not love…lust for her maybe, but not love.’ He felt deep in his heart that he was once again love’s bitch, but he would never admit it. He would love his sire until the day he dusted.

“Are you ready, Buffy?” he asked. At the sound of him saying her name, her insides melted and her panties became wet. He made her name sound so damn sexy. She nodded to show she was ready for the ritual to begin. He vamped and used his claws to slit both his wrist and hers. They pressed their wrists together.

“By blood of enemies willingly shed,” Spike began

“Their life-force, together bled.”

“Open the portal, turn back the sun,”

“Change two destiny’s and make them one,” Buffy finished. Then Spike detached his tingling wrist from hers. He wrapped his arms around her slim waist. She slipped hers around his neck. They leaned forward and their lips met. It felt to Buffy as if electric shocks were running through her body. She was sure that that was not a result of the spell. His lips caressed hers as he implemented his hundred years of experience in kissing. She moaned into his mouth and pulled him closer. Some small part of her brain reminded her that several days ago he was trying to kill her. She ignored it and kept kissing him. His tongue traced her bottom lip, asking for access to her mouth. She gladly granted it. She shivered as his tongue explored the cavern of her mouth.]

Buffy knew she was ruined for life and was positive that she would be comparing every kiss to this one for the rest of her life. She was addicted to Spike’s lips and she couldn’t get enough of him. She slipped her hands under his duster and up his shirt. She ran her fingernails over his abs. She knew that he was enjoying the kiss, too. She could feel evidence of that pressing against her belly. Spike was drowning in her. He realized now that Dru knew this was going to happen. Still, he resolutely clung to the small shred of love he still felt for Dru. He had always been a freak of a vampire and this would only make him more so. Suddenly there was a jolt and they fell to the ground in a tangle of limbs.

Buffy heard a voice that sounded very much like Giles say, “Good lord.” And a rather over enthusiastic voice say, “Well, at least the bunnies are gone.” They quickly disentangled themselves and looked around. They were in some strange store. Giles and a young girl were standing by the register looking anywhere, but at each other.

“Where are we, Giles?” Buffy asked, “I’ve never seen this place before.”

“Oh dear,” he said, “You must not have gotten all of your memory back.”

“I have all of my memories,” she said agitated, “I’ve been in a hell dimension for several days, didn’t anyone miss me?”

He whipped his glasses off and began cleaning them. “A hell dimension, you say, how did you get there?”

“The bleached wonder and I got pulled into Acathla’s portal. We met a giant, evil bunny and did a spell. Now we’re here.”

“See,” Anya exclaimed, “I told you there were evil bunnies. I am not odd. I just met one too many bunny demons in the old days.”

“So, if you’re from a parallel dimension, fascinating, but if you’re here, where are our Buffy and Spike?”

Meanwhile, in season three…

“Spike, why are we in the mansion?” Buffy asked.

Spike suddenly burst into laughter. “You sure pick good names, love,” he said, “Really…Joan.”

“Like yours was so good…Randy.”

“At least my name reflected something about me. The love of my life has no interest in me. I’m evil and can’t change,” he muttered bitterly.

“I never said that!” she exclaimed, “Well…maybe I did, but I could change my mind.”

His eyes got really big and hopeful. “Really?”

She couldn’t do it. She couldn’t crush the small amount of hope he had. “Sure,” she said, “Anything is possible. Let’s go back to my house and see if anyone is there.”

“Hello, is anyone home?” Buffy called. She was rather nervous that Dawn hadn’t gotten home safely.

Her mom stepped out of the kitchen and said, “Where have you been? You’ve been gone for a week! How dare you not tell me about something as big as you being the Slayer? Mr. Giles was so worried and that horrible Angel kept coming by, but never mind, you’re home now.”

Buffy was too stunned to move. Her mom rushed forward and hugged her. Her eyes became huge and tearful. “Mommy?” she said softly.
