Okay, here's the deal. Approximately once a month, I choose a
site (and fanfic) that I think is really something special, something I would
want everyone who comes to my site to go check out. I take a screengrab of the
site and put it, along with a link, on my front page. And the owner gets an
award. :) Sometimes I find the featured site just by surfing the internet, but
you can apply for this award. Just read the rules and if you think that your
site is worthy, fill out the form! You'll get a little extra exposure and something
to add to your awards page. Who doesn't like winning an award?
requirements Your site must be centered
around Buffy (the character or the show) and/or Sarah Michelle Gellar. This
means that if you have a site about the show, it's fine. If you have a site
about Buffy/Riley, that's fine. If you have a site about Spike/Dawn, that's
not fine (Actually, it's icky!). If you have a site about the Angel series,
David Boreanaz, Charisma Carpenter, etc... that's NOT fine. The site has to be in
English. Sorry to the foreign language sites, but if I don't understand
what you have as content... how can I judge it fairly? You must have all your OWN
content. You can't have used someone else to do your graphics or your layout
or whatever. This is an award for superior sites and the winners are very deserving.
They should have the talent and the willingness to put in major effort for a
truly beautiful site. It's not fair that someone else puts in the work and you
get the glory... so if you didn't do it, you won't be awarded for it. Your site better be computer
friendly. That means if you crash me, I'm not going to give you the award and
send my visitors there! It's got to be your site.
I've had to deal with too many rude owners that someone else submitted for an
award. No bashing. Especially of
my Riley. I love him so! Just so we are perfectly
clear, this is for great sites. You may want to go check out my regular
awards. Sites that are worthy of this award would win the Gold award at
least. The magic phrase is bollocks.
Remember that, because you will be asked later. I feel the need to use the phrase
because I find people often don't bother to read rules.
