"Wow, this looks amazing!"

Buffy turned and smiled at her husband as he stood in the doorway of the nursery. "Thanks! I think I'm just about finished."

"Need any help?" Angel smiled as he came in and wrapped his arms around his wife as soon as she climbed down from the ladder she'd been standing on while she placed glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.

Buffy shook her head. "All that's left is the clean up. Then the rest of the furniture is due tomorrow so we can get that all set up and we can put the changing table together tomorrow night, okay?"

Angel nodded. "Whatever you want, Boss."

"And then I can spend the next week going through these bags and putting all this stuff away." Buffy added with a frown. "Speaking of, did you balance the checkbook after our shopping spree last weekend?"

"Yes... ready for the grand total?"

Buffy acted as if in pain and bit her lip. "Hit me."

"Two thousand six hundred and seventy-four dollars, and nineteen cents."

"Ouch... well *you* spent three hundred dollars on the Babycam."

Angel rolled his eyes. "Don't worry about it. Now we are all set for the baby, we don't have to worry for the next few months, and once the baby comes you just have to buy diapers."

"Well, I also want to buy some more outfits that are specifically boy or girl. The baby will need a jacket and stuff."

"Buffy, you're gonna break us!" Angel teased.

Buffy mock glared. "I hate it when you're Mr. Funny."

"You love it."

"Do not."

"Turns you on."

Buffy opened her mouth to argue... then smiled and nuzzled his neck. "How long before Giles is coming over to pick you up?"

"Forty-five minutes." Angel replied, grinning down at his wife.

"Wanna fool around?"

"Don't I always?" He answered before sweeping her up in his arms and carrying her bridegroom style to their bedroom.

He lay her gently on the bed and pulled off his shirt as she began to undo the straps of her overalls. Angel unbuckled his pants and let them fall to the floor, then hesitated.

"Um.. how do you want to do this?" He asked. The only thing he didn't like about her pregnancy is that his favorite position, the most intimate where he could look deeply into her eyes, was a big no-no.

Buffy smiled as she pushed herself into a sitting position. "How about with me on top?"

Angel smiled. His favorite pregnant-Buffy position. "I like that."

Kneeling on the ground in front of her, Angel helped Buffy pull the overalls down her legs. As he pulled them off her feet, Buffy pulled her top over her head and unclasped her bra, releasing her swollen breasts. He took her tiny hands in his large ones and helped her stand before hooking his fingers on the sides of her panties and sliding them down her legs. He quickly removed his boxers then laid down on the bed.

Buffy felt her knees begin to wobble as she felt his eyes devour her. Just by his look she could tell that he found her even more desirable now that she was carrying their child.

She quickly straddled him on the bed, sliding his length inside her with no preamble. The moaned in unison as his hands found their place on her hips as she slowly began to rock back and forth on top of him. Their lovemaking began very leisurely, as they took their time worshipping each other. As their pleasure grew, their pace increased before their passion came to a crashing crescendo.

Buffy lazily rested her head on Angel's shoulder, as they lay together in bed, just content to be with one another. Buffy sighed happily as Angel began rubbing her belly. It was just the most romantic thing in the world to her right then. Their child, the symbol of all their love for each other.

"Giles is supposed to be here in ten minutes." She told him softly.

Angel nodded slightly. "You know, for some reason, no matter how much time I spend with you, I always hate saying goodbye."

Buffy smiled and kissed him. "Me too. Plus, I find the thought of you and Giles going to a bar together a bit weird."

Angel shrugged as he got up and began to redress. "Giles and I talk a lot."

"About what?" Buffy asked as she played with the hem of the sheet.

"A lot of things. You and families and demons and London in the sixties."

"You were in London in the sixties?"

"No, but Giles was, and he has some interesting stories about it."

"Interesting stories you'll share?"

Angel gave her an admonishing look. "You're not old enough."

Buffy laughed. "What? You have to be kidding me!"

"Buffy *I* am not old enough." He answered as he bent to kiss her goodbye.

"What are you going to do tonight?" He asked, deciding it would be all right for him to sit on the edge of the bed and talk to her for a few moments.

"Well after you go I will eventually roll out of bed so I can wear a big fluffy robe and order a pizza. I will very likely eat the entire pizza before crashing for the night. I have yet another fun filled day in the nursery planned tomorrow." She informed him, then raised an eyebrow. "The bar you go to... will it be one of those ones with naked or half naked women?"

Angel looked at her as though she'd grown a second head. "Of course not. Why *pay* to see them when I get to see you all the time for free and you're twice as beautiful."

They heard a horn honk outside and knew it must be Giles.

Buffy smiled. "I love you."

"Love you too... have a good night."

"You too... bye Honey."

As Angel walked out the bedroom Buffy sighed nervously. She had the strangest feeling that something bad was about to happen.

"You know what?!"

"WHAT?!"

The two men burst into laughter for no apparent reason. After calming down a bit, a highly intoxicated Angel looked very seriously at an equally drunk Giles.

"I am so... so happy. Buffy makes Angel happy... 'cuz Angel loves his little Buffy."

"Ah you gonna talk 'bout sex now, 'cuz if you do, I will be bloody ill! She's my lit'l girl." Giles informed him, his accent sounding much different. It was heavier, and less... Sophisticated.

Angel waved him off with his hand. "First of all, she ain't your little girl. She ain't nobody's little girl." He added with a laugh as he envisioned some of the times he and Buffy had made love. "She's a big girl."

Giles made a disgusted face. "Would you shut your bloody hole?!"

"And B. I am not gonna talk about sex, because it's.. uh.. a secret. Yeah... Buffy is my secret. Secret lover." He giggled.

"She is not your secret lover, you ninny! She's pregnant, it's obvious to all of us that you and her are lovers!"

Willie shook his head at the two of them. Ever since all the vamps had abandoned Sunnydale over a year earlier, he had made an effort to have a more reputable business. Therefore, he had to get these two out of there.

About an hour earlier, Angel had given Willie his business card. Already drunk, he offered to make Willie a "real nice deal." Luckily, Willie found Angel's home number on the card, so he quickly dialed it.

"Slayer?"

Buffy yawned as she walked into Willie's bar. She was surprised to see that the joint was a lot classier. Shrugging it off, she found Willie standing behind the bar near the door.

"Where are they?"

Before he could answer, she heard them. They weren't exactly trying to be quiet.

"Buffy! Wherefore art thou Buffy?"

"What the bloody hell are you talking about?" Giles asked, annoyed.

"Look, my little Buffy is here!" Angel exclaimed.

Giles then noticed his stepdaughter standing fifteen feet away, looking at them with utter shock.

"Buffy! Cute little Buffy! Did you come for a drink?"

Buffy rolled her eyes. "You two are such idiots. Come on, time to go home."

"Home?" Angel replied, perking up as he got all sorts of ideas for what they could do at home.

He didn't even notice that the look in Buffy's eyes assured him he wouldn't even be in the same bed as her. She'd been dragged out of bed at one in the morning. She was *not* in the mood!

Buffy pulled her husband's wallet out of his back pocket. "How much do they owe you?"

"Havin' my baby! What a lovely way of sayin' how much you love me! Havin' my baby! What a lovely way of sayin' what you're thinkin' of me. I can see it, face is glowin' I can see in your eyes, I'm happy you know it." Angel sang completely off key as he and Giles followed his wife out of the bar to her car.

Buffy rolled her eyes, wondering where he had learned such an obnoxious song.

Giles grinned and sang along with him for the next part.

"That you're havin' my baby! You're the woman I love and I love what it's doin' to ya! Havin' my baby! You're a woman in love and I love what's goin' through ya!"

"I want to kill whoever wrote this song. Obviously a guy." Buffy muttered as she hit the remote to deactivate the alarm on her car and unlock the doors.

"The need inside you, I see it showin' Whoa, the seed inside ya, baby, do you feel it growin'? Are you happy you know it? That you're..." Angel continued, then looked at Giles before completing the line together.

"Having my baby!"

"Okay, let's all get in the car." Buffy ordered. Giles got in the passenger side as Angel climbed in the backseat through the small door next to Buffy's. He sat in the seat behind Giles and upon his wife's orders, put his seatbelt on.

The cool breeze that flew through the car as she drove down the calm streets in their sleepy town seemed to sober the two men up a bit.

Buffy didn't have many problems walking Giles up to the door to his house. She wondered if he would actually go to his bed or just crash on the couch, but decided not to worry about it. She'd gotten him into the house, so she had no reason to feel guilty about turning back from the house and heading back to her car.

Finding Angel asleep, Buffy wondered if she should just leave him there all night. He was a sound sleeper and she really wasn't in a good condition to try to wake him up.

She decided not to worry about it until she got home and instead just enjoyed driving in the cool night with no cars around.

Hector Travers apprehensively looked in his rearview mirror at the flashing lights on the hoods of all the police cars chased him. He had to get away. If he was arrested again it would be his third strike and he'd be in prison for some serious time. He should have known better than to start dealing drugs again, but it had seemed like a good idea at the time. Now here he was, racing through some small town with a half dozen police cruisers on his ass.

The traffic light about 200 yards ahead changed to red, but the idea barely registered in his mind. However, when he noticed a purple car going through the intersection and right into his path, he couldn't help but notice as he slammed on the brakes.

Buffy had been taking her foot off the gas, preparing to stop at a red light when it had changed to green. She moved her foot back on the gas and headed through the intersection.

Before then she hadn't heard the sirens, didn't realize that she was wandering into the middle of a high-speed police chase.

But when Hector Travers' car crashed into the driver's side of her car, right where she was, she couldn't help but notice.

It all happened so fast. The bright lights, the squealing tires, the loud crash and the abrupt jerking of the car when she was crashed into.

However, soon after it all registered in her mind, the world went black, when she hit her head against the frame of the car.

The End
