Logan crawled into her fathers lap and watched him put the finishing touches on a sketch of Buffy who lay sleeping on the couch.

"Mommy?" She asked pointing to the picture.

"Yeah, mommy." Angel replied. "Don't touch it honey you'll smear it."

Logan pulled her hand away. "I draw mommy too?" She asked after studying the picture for awhile longer.

"Do you want to draw a picture?"

Logan nodded and slid down so she was kneeling by the coffee table. Angel handed her a piece of paper and her crayons then sat back down and picked up his book. A few minutes later Logan set down her crayon and exclaimed, "Wook Daddy!"

Angel glanced over the top of his book to see his daughters drawing then dropped the book onto the couch. "Wow Logan!" He said astonished. "That is very good sweetie." He took the drawing from the two year old and examined it closer. He was surprised that a child that young could draw so well. Usually they only scribbled but what he held in his was something that looked like it was done by a kindergartener.

"I wike it!" Logan exclaimed.

"I like it too!" Buffy said as she came up behind Angel and her daughter.

"Mommy, It's you!" Logan said pointing to the picture. She then went over and grabbed Angel's sketch off the coffee table. "Dis is you too!"

"Yeah it is." Buffy stated taking the picture from her daughter. "Did you draw this Angel?"

He nodded as he kissed her forehead. "It's the most beautiful thing I've ever drawn." he whispered into her ear. He then turned her face and lowered his lips to hers.

"Ewww YUCKY!!!!!" Logan squealed. "Kissy-face!"

Angel laughed and pulled his daughter into her arms peppering kisses over her face? He laughed as she giggled and squirmed in his arms. "Kissy-face! Kissy-face!" He chanted!

*******

"Angel, is there something wrong with our daughter?" Buffy asked as she sat down on his lap in the office.

"No, What would ever make you think such a thing?"

"Angel you saw that picture she drew earlier today. She shouldn't be that advanced. Two year olds are only supposed to scribble and I always thought she talked too well for her age and..."

Angel cut her off with a kiss. When she pulled away to breath he said, "You shouldn't worry Buffy. So she's a little advanced for her age. A lot of children are like that."

"Angel, toddlers don't draw portraits of their mothers like it's the easiest thing in the world to do. Pretty soon she's gonna be tying her shoes and saying the alphabet and counting to 100. She's only two Angel! She can't be this advanced. It's not normal."

"Buffy, we're not normal!" Angel replied. "Think about it, she's living in a home with a slayer as a mother and a vampire with a soul as a father. She's prone to have some kind of special trait. And how do you know it's even because of us. It could be something passed down. I can sketch fairly well. Maybe she got it from me. Just because she has great hand-eye cordination doen't mean that there is something wrong with her. She might not even be able to all those things that you said until she's 3 or 4. She's just very artistically talented."

Buffy nodded and layed her head on Angel's shoulder as her tightened his embrace around her. "I just don't want her to be some kind of warrior for the powers that be. I want her to be a normal two year old who can only scribble and...is well....normal."

"Sometimes normal isn't always the best thing. Think about what happened with that little boy Anthony. Any normal toddler would scream and then cower in the corner. Logan ran to you. She knew to get out of the room. I don't think any normal child would have been that smart. You should be lucky that she's different. And even if she is a warrior for the PTB's she's still just a baby. She has a long while before she has to start fighting."

"Yeah," Buffy agreed. "I just don't want my babygirl to go through what I had to, cause Destiny sucks."

"No mother does Buffy! Now let's go get your mind off of things." He whispered in her ear before carrying her down to their bedroom.
