"Honey, have you gotten those decorations I asked for?" Buffy replied doing her best to put up the icicle lights all over the front of her house.

"Decorations?" Angel asked slightly puzzled.

"Yeah, I gave you a list so that on your way over here you could pick them up for me." Buffy said climbing off the ladder and going over to Angel who was still a little confused he hadn't remember her saying anything about a list. Looking down he saw a little white scrap of paper, picking it up he read: Christmas reef, garland, tacky fake Santa and reindeer for lawn, Christmas CD mom wants, some more lights, wrapping paper, and tape.

He showed the list to Buffy, "Is this what you meant?"

Blushing slightly she nodded her head, "I guess I forgot to give it to you, huh?"

"Yeah you just might have." Angel replied pulling her into his warm embrace and giving her a kiss.

"Well then this is the perfect excuse for a shopping trip." Buffy replied a little too cheerfully.

Silently Angel groaned knowing full well what he was getting into.

Buffy put the ladder away, wrote a note telling her mom just where she was, and then proceeded to pull Angel down Revello Drive and towards Sunnydale Mall.

"This is nice." Buffy said looking up towards Angel, "Me and you shopping for Christmas stuff. We should do it more often."

"Buffy, I love you." Angel began, "But there is no way I want to make this a regular habit."

Buffy pouted and then playfully hit him on the arm, "You should consider this an honor me taking you shopping."

"I think I'll stick to the demons thank you." Angel replied. "I always feel privileged sending their sorry asses to Hell."

"Who knows, maybe you'll get to slay something while were out." Buffy said, looking over to Angel who was once more that day, a little more then confused. "You know, cause of the long lines and mean people.I bet you at least some of them have some evil."

Arriving at Sunnydale mall Angel took a deep breath and prepared himself for what was going to be a nightmarish experience, he hated shopping to begin with and when you combine that with the holiday rush no good could come from that.

"Ohh, Angel, look at all this." Buffy cooed.

Looking around Angel saw little kids whining over wanting this, or needing that, or how they hadn't got to sit on Santa's lap, or they had and he smelled, or was scary. He saw people pushing and shoving to get into lines, and fighting over how they found that shirt first, and how their daughter would die if she didn't have that Barbie doll so she deserved to get it. There were sale employees rushing about trying to re-stock, or help out with registers, he saw madness and disarray and was more then ready to go home. "Buffy." He said pulling at her jacket, hoping to go home. "Maybe we should come back later, when it's not so crowded."

Buffy laughed, "Angel it will only get worse from here, now come on, we need to get some stuff." And she began to pull him through the mob of shoppers.

They had just come out of the Christmas store arms full of bags, filled with all these little things Buffy just had to have. "So we can leave now, right?" Angel asked praying to whatever God would listen to him, praying that they would leave.

"Well," Buffy began, "I had sort of found this really cute pair of shoes that would go perfectly with my dress, so I was thinking that we could stop there first, and then leave." Buffy replied glancing over towards Angel.

Sighing deeply, "Fine, but then we leave, okay." Angel replied; it was only one more store he could survive, right?

"Okay good!" Buffy exclaimed, of course she really didn't have a dress, but she liked the shoes and well once she had shoes she needed a dress to match them, I mean otherwise it was pointless to have the shoes, so they also would have to make another stop or two, Angel shouldn't mind though.

Passing by American Eagle, Buffy noticed they were having an up to 60 percent off sale. That was just to good, so she dragged Angel into there.

"Oh look," Buffy said pointing at the cute snowman pajamas, "Aren't these cute?" Buffy asked.

Angel looked dully at the pajama's there was no way she was going to get him into them. "Buffy, I think I've seen better looking demons." He said with a frown.

"But look, we could be twins." Buffy said pointing to the matching set.

Shaking his head no he came up with a deal, "If you don't make me wear those I will buy the set for you to wear, how does that sound?" He asked hoping it would work.

Thinking momentarily, "Okay sounds like a plan." She said giving him a peck on the cheek.

Angel once again thanked whatever God was out there for Buffy's decision, Buffy pulling Angel to the register to pay.

"Hey, I was here first." The lady exclaimed pushing her way in front of Buffy.

"Excuse me Miss but you were not here first, now if you will excuse us we are going to buy our one item and then be on our way." Buffy said placing her hands on her hips.

"I don't know who you think you are little girl but I have people to see and places to be and am not going to wait for you and your little boyfriend to pay for your stuff, now move it." The lady said placing her items on the counter.

"How would you like to pay for that mame?

"Credit." She replied, turning around giving Buffy a smug look.

"That's it." Buffy replied ready to attack this lady, if it hadn't been for Angel restraining her, she would have.

"Just let her go, Buffy," Angel replied, trying to clam the angry little slayer down. This was why he hated shopping.

"I can't believe she did that, if I somehow forgot and left her in a vampire's lair that wouldn't be intentionally killing her, would it?" Buffy asked, as they continued their shopping.

"Buffy." Angel said placing his arm around her waist.

"I know, I know but it's people like her that make shopping no fun." Buffy ranted.

"So does this mean, you're ready to go home?" Angel asked hopefully.

"No way." Buffy said looking up at him as if he was growing a third ear, which in Sunnydale probably wouldn't be so weird.

"Come on, the shoe store is over here." Buffy said pulling him towards the shoe store, which was conveniently, located right next to Be Be's.

"So do these shoes make my feet look fat?" Buffy asked.

"No." Angel replied, looking at his watch for the third time only ten minutes had passed since the last time, sighing, "Buffy, I though you knew which pair of shoes you wanted."

"Well, I knew I wanted shoes." Buffy said meekly, "Does that count?" She said smiling then shrugged and continued to browse.

Angel turned to see some poor dad try and keep his two little kids occupied as his wife tried on shoes, she obviously had the same problem as Buffy when it came to making up her mind.

Hearing a growling noise, he turned his head to see Buffy clutching her stomach, looking at her worriedly she said with a simple shrug, "I'm hungry, I forgot to eat before we left."

"Well should we go to the food court then?" Angel asked, anything was better then sitting here as Buffy decided what shoes she wanted.

"Okay I just have to buy these first. She said carrying the boxes to the register.

After waiting in the line and then making a "quick" stop at Be Be's they had finally arrived at the Food Court both having no free hands left.

"Maybe we should find a table to put these down first." Angel suggested.

"Yeah, that might be a good idea, Buffy said. "Oh there!" Buffy exclaimed motioning to the table the old couple was walking away from.

A little girl heard Buffy and began to run towards the table, Buffy seeing this dropped her bags and did the same.

"That's my table." Buffy said to the little girl.

"No it's not." The little girl replied with an attitude.

"Yes it is, I found it first." Buffy replied.

"So I got to it first." The girl replied motioning for her parents to come.

"Excuse me," Buffy said politely, to the parents of the little child, "See my boyfriend and I were going to sit at this table and then your daughter came and took it, so if you could please take her and find your own table." Buffy replied with a smile.

"Well she obviously got to it first, so why don't you and your little boyfriend go find another table?" The women replied with the same smile, and began to put her bags and the tray of food down.

"Ugh," Buff growled returning to Angel, "That little bitch just stole our table.

"The girl or the mom?" Angel asked.

"Both. Now we have to find a new one, which if you haven't noticed is pretty close to impossible. " Buffy said picking up her bags and walking to the other side looking for a table.

"Buffy!" A voice shouted, "Buffy, Angel."

Turning around at the sound of their names being called, they saw Willow and Xander sitting at a little round table in the far corner. Rushing over to meet them, "Hi guys." Buffy said thankful to finally have a place to sit.

"Hey, shopping Dead boy?" Xander asked pointing to the bags.

"Yes." Grumbled Angel.

"What's with the long faces, Wills and I are having a blast, all this Christmas time fun." Xander said giving Willow a squeeze.

"Hanukah fun, Hanukah fun." Willow reminded Xander, "Remember not everyone is Christian." Willow said with mock enthusiasm.

"Okay well we are going to get some food and then we'll be back." Buffy said walking over to the pizza place.

"Umm, it smells so good, this definitely makes up for all the craziness of this trip." Buffy said carrying her slices of pizza towards their table.

"Went for the Italian." Xander said looking at her pizza, "Good choice."

"Yes, expanding on your culture is always nice." Willow said eating her Chinese food.

"And I brought a little American snack from home," Xander began reaching into his pocket and pulling out a smashed Twinkie. "Got to love the golden goodness known as a Twinkie." He said shoving it in his mouth.

Angel looked on in disgust, and for once was glad that he couldn't be there when Buffy ate her lunch at school, for he did not know how she put up with his eating habits.

Buffy finished her last slice of pizza and turned to Angel, "So are you ready to go?"

He was never happier, "Yes." Angel replied a little to enthusiastic.

"I take it shopping was not that fun?" Willow asked getting up to throw her trash away.

"That's understatement of the year." Angel replied grabbing as many bags as he could carry and following Buffy towards the trashcan.

"Well we did have a memorable time." Buffy pointed out.

"Sure." Angel replied. He was just happy they were finally leaving.

"So you want us to walk you home?" Buffy asked Willow and Xander.

"Nah, we can make it out in this crazy world, don't worry." Xander said, "Besides I have my Wicca here to kill the big bads."

"Okay, well I'll see ya tomorrow at Giles' then?" Buffy asked.

"Got it, meeting at Giles's, we'll be there." Willow said as she and Xander headed off in the opposite direction.

"So," Buffy said cuddling up towards Angel. They had just arrived back at the mansion a couple of minutes ago. "Maybe we could do this next weekend too?" She said with a smile.

Over my dead body, no pun intended," He said with a smile.

Buffy groaned at his lame joke and then proceeded to kiss him fully on the lips, letting all her tension out from their previous shopping disaster.
