"You really think that your little puppy love with Muffy could even hold a candle to what we had? I gave you everything you'd ever dreamed of, and you still want her." Darla said smugly as she circled him, averting her eyes, she laughed lightly. "Darling boy, you never learn." Darla added with a frown as she drew close to him, and ran her hand down his rigid features. "One day, you'll see what I mean.." Darla finished as she kissed him passionately as everything faded..

Angel awoke with a start, confusion on his face. "What did she mean?" Angel asked himself as he got up and paced the room, his brow furrowed with thought, Darla's visits had been frequent and unavoidable, but wanted. He was lonely, even though it was Darla haunting his thoughts, his dreams, she was a part of him, always. The midnight visits were enjoyable, the different kind of nice, the kind he never had with Buffy, and would never want her to see. But the thing that bothered Angel the most, was Buffy, what did she have to do with anything? She was gone, not here and these little reminders were tearing another piece of him away, the part of him where he kept Buffy, his heart.
"She's a part of everything my love. This side of you, it belongs to her. It's the part I can't touch, that I want." Darla whispered as she came out from the shadows and wrapped her arms around him, her mouth to his ear.
"You have to stop this. It just doesn't make sense, you play, but you never tell." Angel said as he turned to face her, she smiled deviously.
"I can make it better, let Darla take the hurt away." Darla coaxed as she rubbed his shoulders."Feel good? Remember the old days, London, the convent. Your beloved toy Drusilla, her screams were the most satisfying, well, next to yours that is." Darla said with a mischievous smile.
"You always knew.." Angel said with a small smile as he gave in, gave in to Darla, her temptations, into her. Buffy was miles away, and for the first time in Angel's stay in L.A, he didn't care.

"You sure this is going to work?" Buffy asked uncertainly, her breathing controlled, she had been training for the better part of the day, her slayer skills were important to her, she needed this, something attainable, that she knew she would have if she tried hard enough. A first for Buffy, something to have..and keep, and not lose.
"Concentration is of the utmost importance Buffy, don't lose your initiative." Giles replied as he set up the altar. Buffy obeyed with a small smile, Giles mouth hung open, but his british manners kicked in and he smiled. Buffy never listened. ~She's growing up.~ Giles thought.
Buffy sat cross-legged in front of Giles, who was already sitting. They took on the yogic position.
"Now breathe." Giles instructed quietly, Buffy took in air, keeping a pattern, concentrating on nothing but her breathing.
The lights dimmed, everything became still, Buffy's eyes opened and everything was different, the air, the contour of everything, it was fractured. Buffy stood up, and walked out of the room, she looked back to Giles. He was still there, next to her body. "Funny." Buffy commented quickly, but it came out slowly, one syllable after another.
Buffy walked to her room, it was like everything was in slow motion, like time had stopped. She touched everything in her room, the walls, her bedspread, her cabinet. A book fell out of her cabinet. It had a lock on it, the lock was broken.
A picture fell out.
Buffy got slammed back into her body, her eyes ripped open and she couldn't breathe. Giles was too shocked to do anything, one minute she was in the trance, the next she was animate, his body could never anticipate that.
Snapped out of his shock, Giles soothed Buffy. "You're going to be fine." he'd say, or "Shhh." As he comforted the shaken slayer.
"Too.Much." Buffy gasped between gulps for air. What she had seen when that picture fell, was real. It triggered something in her mind, showed a flash of images, each so vivid. But they weren't flashes at all, she had seen everything, and it took forever, time was gone and she was just there, reliving it, a watcher. It frightened her, and made her want to die.
"I'm.Needed.." Buffy continued, her breathing coming back slowly. "He needs me." Buffy added as she rubbed her throat, eyes wide, she knew so much now, so much.
"Who needs you?" Giles asked, confusion on his anticipating features, this trance had revealed more than he thought.
"Angel." Buffy said simply with a frown as Giles helped her up.
***
"What did you see?" Giles asked ncertainly, not knowing if wanted to.
"Angel, doing bad things, the evil kind of bad." Buffy said softly as she rocked back and forth, rubbing her arms.
"Oh dear.." Giles commented as his eyes widened.
"I can't face him, again." Buffy said, referring to Angelus as she rocked back and forth. The visual she got wasn't pretty, it was so vivid, a BIG hello to the pain.
"How could this have come about? Your not with him anymore...Oh." Giles clued in at the last moment, causing Buffy to realise how this would have come to be. Buffy bit her lip.
"He's moved on. Good." Buffy said dryly. "But unfortunately it will cost him his soul." Buffy said wistfully, she wanted him to be happy, but deep down, she was jealous, wanting him to adore her always, how petty. "And guess who gets to clean up the mess?" Buffy added as she stood up slowly.
"You don't have to go." Giles lied, trying to comfort her.
"I do, tell the others what's going on." Buffy commented simply as she turned and left Giles in mid-sentence.
"My prayers are with you." Giles whispered to himself as he closed the door sadly.

"You know what, I'm tired of Mr.Grumpy-all-I-wanna-do-is-sleep Angel, we've been busting our butts off looking for this creepo demon and all he's been doing is sleeping. I *better* get a raise, does he ever stop to think that we, sorry *I* might have a social life?" Cordelia said dramatically as she flipped through an old book. Wesley put his tea cup down, obviously irritated.
"Would you just give it up Cordelia, Angel's his own vampire, we can't tell him how to live his unlife." Wesley whined, being around Cordelia so much was like watching a mime, a very loud mime, after a while you start acting like them, and Wesley was getting very tired of her complaining, even though she did have a point.
"All I'm saying is he should at least make guest appearances, he owes us that much." Cordelia finished as she closed the book with a sigh. Angel trudged downstairs, obviously tired.
"Find anything?" Angel asked simply. Cordelia placed a book on Angel's lap, she turned to apage, a yucky demon stared back at them.
"This says the basic stuff we already know, which leaves us back at nothing." Cordelia saidwith a groan.
"Keep looking." Angel answered as he stood up, about to go upstairs.
"Back to bed I see? I heard bedsores can become quite troublesome these days." Wesley commented dryly as Angel turned around.
"Did I ask you?" Angel snapped as he turned and left upstairs.
"See what I mean?" Cordelia asked in the 'I told you so' voice. Wesley just shook his head.

"Remember the balls, the parties, we fooled those insipid humans, we were the unbeatable team.Angelus and Darla." Darla commented softly as she emerged from the shadows.
"I remember." Angel said with a knowing glance and a small smile. Darla came up from behind him and put her mouth to his ear.
"Remember what it felt like to feel our blood run through eachother's veins, the pleasure we could draw from eachother, it was amazing." Darla whispered as she wrapped her arms around him, she bit with blunt teeth on his ear. Angel violently pulled her towards him and growled, she ran a finger down his face, tracing a path.
"We could do it again, feel each other again, only if you let me in, let me make it better." Darla growled as she undid his shirt, trailing kisses down his chest.
"Yes, make it..make it better." Angel said as his breathing quickened.
"Good boy." Darla commented with an airy laugh as she pushed him violently on the bed.

Buffy walked the streets of Los Angeles, she had just got off the bus. She looked down to the card, looking for the street name of his hotel.
"Here we are." Buffy mumbled as she walked inside the door, anticipating the worst.
***
"Well, it's Buffy, and she's here..again." Cordelia commented as Buffy rushed in the door. Wesley looked up from his seat.
"Where's Angel?" Buffy asked simply.
"Well hello to you too." Cordelia said as she motioned upstairs. "Just why do you want to see him anyway?" Cordelia asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Because last time you were here, you ripped him to shreds." Cordelia added sweetly.
"What room?" Buffy asked coldly, not paying attention to Cordelia.
"He's in room 517, but I warn you, he's very-" Wesley started.
"Grumpy?" Cordelia finished, but Buffy was already on her way upstairs.
"Prepare for the world to end." Cordelia added as she looked to the retreating Buffy.
***
Buffy walked up the stairs, counting each step, wondering if she'd ever get to the second floor. She walked through the long corridor, listening to her breathing, trying to concentrate on her task, she felt everything go in slow motion again, like the trance was swallowing her, guiding her in the right direction. Only one problem with that scenario, Buffy wasn't trying to get into trance-mode, it just came to her.
The walls took on a different color, the doors were more polished, everything was fractured, just like her last trance. She slowly came upon door number 217, it opened.
Inside, two people were doing that vulgar four letter word that is the opposite of making love. One of them was Angel.
Buffy's eyes closed harshly, falling out of the trance, she hoped it wasn't true, what she had seen, Buffy slowly opened her eyes again and took in a deep intake of breath. She put her hand to her mouth, unable to speak.
"It seems we have company." Darla said, her breathing short, even though she didn't need to breathe. She smiled deviously.
"Buffy?" Angel asked worriedly as he got up, blanket still covering him. For the first time, he realized Darla wasn't a dream, that in all truth, he was screwing her in real-life. BeforeAngel could react, he gasped in pain and fell to the floor, clutching himself. His last thought before he blacked out was Buffy.
Darla rised from the bed, sheet wrapped around her, she stared at Angel intently, her mouth curving in an evil smile, her gaze turned to Buffy.
"I just have to thank you Buffy, for everything. You've made my task that much easier." Darla said with a light-hearted laugh as Angel turned in pain.
Buffy turned pale, she was too late, it was done. Buffy felt her legs moving, she was running to Angel's side. Buffy's instincts took over.
"What do you mean?" Buffy exclaimed, as she tried to stop Angel from shaking, trying to hold his soul to him, hoping he'd be okay, even though she knew it was useless.
"He gave up on you, giving me the chance to step in, take his pain away. You should have been there, the way I made him scream..it was breathtaking." Darla whispered as she moved closer.
Buffy felt a wave of hatred rip through her, directed at Darla.
"I'm going to kill you." Buffy ground out as she walked slowly towards Darla. Darla just laughed.
"We'll see, wont we Cheerleader?" Darla commented calmly as she crossed her arms.
Buffy swung out her fist, just as it was about to connect with Darla's face, Angel grabbed it and punched her in the face with his free fist.
"It's been a long time." Angelus said with a twisted smile as Buffy rubbed her jaw on the ground, her eyes wide.
****
"My darling boy." Darla growled with a smile as she sauntered up to him. She wrapped her arms around him.
Buffy sat paralyzed on the ground, her eyes not moving from the scene before her.
"Darla." Angelus said boredly. "I just gotta thank you for that little nudge, really helpedsoul-boy give me a break." Angelus said with a smirk as he looked to Buffy.
"Buff, how's it been screwing farm-boy while I was gone?" Angelus asked with a smile as he removed Darla's arms from around him. "My buddy Angel didn't like that too much, he didn't like having what's his played around with." Angel said seriously. "Especially seeing as you didn't love that dumbass anyway." Angel added with a chuckle.
Buffy couldn't say anything, mainly because he was right, another truth she had known but never admitted was coming out of her ex-lover's mouth, Buffy slowly stood up, shakily. But that's all she could manage, all these shocks and surprises were making her unstable-slayer, leaving her helpless to watch.
"She's unimportant my love, you're free, and I'm back." Darla exclaimed as she moved closer, "We could kill her, together." Darla whispered. "Like that gypsy girl." Darla added.
"A wonderful idea." Angelus said with a smirk as he pulled Darla in close, growling. "Ever since my last taste, I've been itching for more." Angelus added.
"No." Buffy said harshly as she slowly backed away. "This.. this isn't real." Buffy added as her hand balled into a fist.
"I love it when she's angry." Angelus said with a chuckle to Darla. Darla smiled wickedly and licked her lips.
Buffy drew out the odds in her head, she couldn't take both of them. Remembering Wesley and Cordelia downstairs, she exited the room, running at top speed, her mind taking over her heart.
"What are your plans for dear Buffy?" Darla asked intently as she looked to Angelus, away from the fleeing Buffy.
"I was thinking a little torture, then I kill her. Not very original I know, but she has a special place in me, right next to my groin. The blonde hair, it drives me crazy." Angelus commented.
Darla laughed airily. "Always were a sucker for blondes." Darla added with a suggestive wink.
"Tell me about it." Angelus replied with a smirk as he turned his attention to Darla. "Buff can run, but I'll find her. In the meantime.." Angelus growled as he pulled Darla close. "I need a fix."
***
Buffy ran all the way down the stairs, looking for Cordelia and Wesley. But they were gone. Buffy called out, looking for someone, anyone, but silence answered her. Buffy went to the doors, she tried opening them, but they wouldn't budge. She tried to kick the door open, it still wouldn't give.
"Open dammit!" Buffy said through clenched teeth, trying not to think about anything but Angel. "Just open!" Buffy cried this time, breaking down, tears splashing down her face, she should have anticipated this, but seeing him in bed with Darla was a blow.
Especially as it was Angel, not Angelus.
"Mature plan my ass." Buffy whispered with a sob as she wiped at her eyes, he left her, saying she would want sex, and here he was, screwing away. And now she had to face his counterpart, Angelus, the one vampire that knew how to hurt her most, not to mention Darla.
"This is hell." Buffy said with a shattered sigh.
"You're telling me, I can't get this stupid door to open, we've been stuck here ever since you came." Cordelia commented with a scowl as she and Wesley appeared from the stairs.
"Angel's gone bad." Buffy said simply, not caring about courtesy.
"You boned my boss? Tramp!" Cordelia exclaimed as she advanced. Wesley held her back.
"What do you mean Buffy?" Wesley asked as he calmed Cordelia down.
"Angelus and Darla are in the hotel, from what I gather they've locked us in, and I hear that they plan to torture and kill us. Sounds like fun huh?" Buffy said dryly as she wiped at her eyes.
"Dear god.." Wesley stated as Cordelia stared.
***
"Darla? From what I read, Angel had killed her almost four years ago, how can it be that she's returned?" Wesley asked as the three of them walked through the Hotel, looking for spare doors, windows, anything that could be opened.
"Exactly what I was thinking, but trust me, she's here, I found out the hard way." Buffy saidwith a frown as another tear threatened to escape, she kept on reliving it, opening the door, seeing him and her, doing things, bad things. She cast her eyes downwards.
Cordelia's eyes widened, she got the vibe from Buffy, and the tears were a dead give-away. She put a hand on her arm supportively. "We'll get that blood-sucking tramp, look at the odds, two of them, three of us. A definite strength in numbers." Cordelia said with a small smile.
"We're going to need an orb of Thesula, and the spell, changing Angel is first on the list, because I'm not really loving the whole 'killing him' thing again. Once was enough." Buffy said calmly as she took a deep breath, and looked to Wesley, they stopped walking.
"One moment." Wesley said as he went in one of the rooms, he came back with an orb, an old book, and a paper with print on it.
"You had all of this stuff here?" Buffy asked incredulously.
"Well, last time when Angel made with the happy-pill and turned bad, we definitely got prepared with back-up, just incase another desperate washed-out actress came on our door-step." Cordelia said as Wesley gave her a look.
"Angel went bad?" Buffy asked. "And you didn't tell me?" Buffy added angrily as she advanced on the two.
***
"So you locked all three of them in?" Angelus asked surprised from the bed as Darla brushed her hair in front of the mirror, over and over again, smiling, satisfied.
"I always wondered what it would be like to hear Cordelia and Wesley scream. It's perfect." Angelus added with a smirk as he thought up all the different ways of torture.
"I knew you'd like it, I did it just for you, but they're only the appetizers, the main course it walking around, broken, after she saw our performance, I'm surprised she's still breathing. The way she loves you makes me want to vomit, too bad *you'll* be killing her." Darla said with a sigh. "I only get to watch." She added with a pout.
Darla walked over to the bed and crawled onto it, next to Angelus, she put her mouth close to his ear.
"So the question is, what do you want to do?" Darla whispered as she backed away, anticipating his answer, she only had to look in his eye to know what he was going to do. She smiled deviously.
***
"It was just better that you didn't know, and besides, it wasn't permanent." Cordelia offered, backing away.
"We can talk about that later, the current situation is more important right now." Wesley pressed.Buffy calmed down and looked to them.
"You're right, I hope we can do this." Buffy said with a small smile. "So what do I have todo?" Buffy asked with a sigh as she sat down cross-legged.
"Basically, just chant this, while me and Wesley light the stinky herbs." Cordelia said asshe got out matches.
Buffy concentrated and looked down to the book, she started chanting the latin, and suddenly she felt as if she was falling, the trance took over her, swallowing her. Buffy opened her eyes, her lips were moving and sound was coming out, but she wasn't saying anything, she felt something go through her. And just as quickly as she was in the trance, she was out.
***
"They're trying to curse me, I can feel it, should I be worried?" Angelus asked casually.
"No, they can try, but it's futile, you're in control now." Darla said with a smile as she wrapped her arms around him.
***
"It didn't work." Cordelia said simply as she got up and started to pace. "I saw this being done before and well, the orb didn't do that cool glow-thing." Cordelia added as she crossed her arms.
"How could it not work, I felt it." Buffy asked as she rubbed her arms, the goosebumps not leaving.
"Maybe we're approaching this wrong, perhaps we should look at it through another angle?" Wesley asked as he took the book from and flipped through it.
"The main idea of this curse was to find his soul and bind it to him. What if he never lost his soul in the first place?" Wesley suggested. "Of course! This has to be it, the only person he ever achieved true happiness with was you, Darla isn't capable of that." Wesley exclaimed.
"So you're saying that Angel's still somewhere in there?" Buffy asked as she looked to Wesleyhopefully.
"Well it has to be." Wesley stated. "There aren't any other options." Wesley added.
"Then we have a chance. Let's bring the fight to him." Buffy said seriously.
***
Armed with the best of weapons that they could find, those weapons being whittled chair legs, Cordelia, Wesley and Buffy trudged upstairs, knowing what they had to do, kill them both.
***
Buffy's heart was conflicted with emotions, a million thoughts rushed through her head, Buffy knew what she had to do, just what she did two years ago, but the pain that wrapped around her heart was becoming unbearable. Remembering everything that Giles had taught her, Buffy channeled the pain, and turned it into anger. The energy that coursed through her, all the hate, fear and suffering would be the blow that would send Darla and her past lover into hell...again.
***
Cordelia tried to fight back the pre-fighting jitters, that being a loose-term. She wasn't ready to see him killed, he had been a close friend to her, Angel also had taught her a lot of things, like how to not die. Now Cordy feared he was going to be the one that killed her. ~Okay, it's not Angel in there, it's Angelus, even though they have a striking resemblance, he's still Angelus.~ Cordelia thought, keeping the poker-face on, not wanting to reveal how attached she had become.
***
Wesley tightened his grip on the stake in his hand, glancing at all corners of the Hotel as they walked by. Wesley knew this was just a big game for the two vampires. They were probably sniveling somewhere, laughing and imagining the ways they would torture the three. Wesley whipped around when he heard a noise.
***
The three turned to the sound of the clatter, like metal hitting metal. A voice arose from the depths of the dark shadowy hallway.
"Did I do that? Gee, is my face ever red." Angelus chuckled with a smirk as he picked up the butcher knife he had 'accidentally' dropped. Angelus ran a finger along the blade, two droplets of deep red blood trickled down his finger.
Another form appeared from the shadows, she clamped on to Angel's finger, licking the blood away. Darla glanced at him seductively. "Hmmm..sharp." Darla commented as she looked to the three humans.
Buffy's blood boiled as she witnessed the blood-sucking display, all Buffy knew was blind anger now. Mad about the whole damn situation that she laughingly called her life.
Cordelia stepped back, not wanting to get involved, just as Buffy thankfully wanted.
Wesley stood in front of Cordelia, always being the gentleman and wanting to protect his close friend. Wesley hoped Buffy could do this, she was their last chance, he realized.
Buffy advanced and balled her other hand into a fist, she had never in her whole life wanted to dust a vamp as bad as she wanted to now. Darla was going to taste the dust again, for all that she had done, Buffy would see that the vamp-whore would die.
Angel was another matter, her feelings for him she pushed down even further, locking them away, as she had always done. Buffy knew if she started it now, she wouldn't be able to stop. Buffy had lived without him for a whole year, she would be able to manage. At least that's what she kept telling herself. Buffy had it memorized, telling herself that each morning when she woke up and had to deal with the pain that was her dreams.
Darla's silky voice ripped her out of her thoughts, the anger returning.
"We meet again, I never knew I could be so lucky." Darla admonished as she advanced on her. Angelus abruptly pulled her back and gave her a fiery glance.
"Buff is mine, always has been, and always will. The only one who touches her is me." Angelus growled.
Darla looked up to him and matched his growl, she put her hand on his cheek, then scratched it. Her gaze turned to Buffy as she vamped, her ridged features then turned back to Angel. "I love it when you growl." Darla purred as she licked the trail of blood.
Buffy just about lost it, she turned to Wesley and Cordelia. Giving them a stern glance, she gestured to the stairs.
"Leave, now." Buffy ordered.
"You can't take them both on Buffy." Cordelia stated unsurely, wanting to leave, but knowing she should stay.
"Cordelia's right." Wesley added worriedly.
Buffy glared at them icily. "If you don't leave in ten seconds, I'll kill you before they do!" Buffy said coldly as she held her stake tighter.
Wesley and Cordelia nodded, then hastily leaved.
"Our dinner is leaving." Darla pouted as she looked to the stairs.
Angelus smirked, then turned his gaze to Buffy. "Don't worry my love, I'll just kill them later, besides, toying with the slayer is on the top of my to-do list." Angelus said as he smiled coldly towards Buffy.
"Are you just going to talk about killing me all day, or are we going to fight?" Buffy asked, looking bored, wearing a mask that was highly convincing.
"My thoughts exactly." Darla exclaimed as she stepped back, licked her lips in anticipation and smiled wickedly.
Angelus moved towards Buffy, their foreheads were almost touching, he traced a path down her cheek. Angelus moved his mouth to her ear. "Can you do it again?" Angelus whispered.
Buffy lifted her stake slowly, forgetting about Darla, and moved it up to his heart. "I'm itching to." Buffy replied coldly as she was about to ram it into his heart.
Angelus grabbed her fist and squeezed it hard, the stake fell out of her grasp, Angelus pulled her flush against him. "You don't win that easily, I thought you would have learned that by now, I have to have a little fun first." Angelus whispered as he went to her neck.
Buffy punched him, hard, with her free fist, sending him flying to the other side of the hall.
Darla watched from a corner, an amused look on her face, loving to see her boy in action.
As Angelus was recovering, Buffy noticed Darla. As Angelus was about to advance, Buffy was on top of Darla, it only took a second to pin her on the ground. Buffy smiled satisfyingly at the look on Darla's face as Buffy pummeled her, Darla lost consciousness. Buffy shook her sleeve and a stake dropped into her hand, Buffy raised it. "Say goodnight you bit-" Buffy started venomously.
Angelus grabbed her wrist and twisted it, Buffy fell over in pain, crawling over to the wall, she leant against it, grasping her wrist, her eyebrows knit together in pain.
Just as quick as Buffy had been, Angelus was on top of her, Buffy looked up.
He smiled mischievously as he lifted the stake above Buffy's heart.
"Your turn to say goodnight beloved." Angelus commented harshly as the stake came crashing down...
***
Buffy closed her eyes tight bracing herself for the pain that would follow, but to her surprise, nothing happened.
Buffy slowly opened her eyes.
Angelus was just sitting there on top of her, holding his head in pain as he shook. Buffy's eyes widened, what was happening?
"My boy.." Darla gasped as she ran over to them, pulling Angelus off of Buffy and holding him. "What's the matter?" Darla asked worriedly.
Angelus smiled like a great load had been taken off of his shoulders as he lifted the stake and rammed it into Darla's heart. "Good luck." He hoarsely whispered as her eyes widened she turned to dust, for the second time.
Angelus moved slowly toward Buffy and went to touch her cheek. She flinched.
"I'm sorry." Angelus said softly as he cupped her cheek. Buffy looked into his eyes, there was warmth there now, and then Buffy knew.
"Angel." Buffy whimpered as she flung her arms around him, needing to be held, by him, knowing that she needed him so much.
"Yeah, I'm back." Angel said, the guilt dripping through. He held her, as she cried into his shoulder, as he had done so any times before, a frown on his face.
***
Cordelia brought Buffy a coffee, Buffy smiled in thanks as she sipped it.
"What an interesting week this has been." Cordelia said sarcastically. "Just another day in the Angel Investigations clique." She muttered, bringing Angel a cup of O-pos.
"I'm sorr-" Angel started to say.
"Sorry? We know. The best we can do now, is to forget about it." Wesley interrupted, with a small smile.
"So you're in control now. No more Angelus? I'm happy for you." Buffy said quietly as she looked away, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
"Yeah, I guess so." Angel said with a sigh as he walked over to Buffy. "It wasn't anybody's fault but mine." Angel said to her, pulling her gaze to his.
"I should probably go, I get the feeling I'm not wanted." Buffy spat as she ripped away from him and got up.
"How can you say that?" Angel asked.
Buffy eye's widened. "How can I say that? I don't see you pulling me into your arms now do I?" Buffy said, then turning red. "Sorry...I've just been stressed and missing you.." Buffy trailed off.
"And I've missed you, but we need to do what's best." Angel said in the tone that Buffy knew all too well.
Buffy's gaze grew cold. "Yeah, what's best." Buffy said icily as she left the hotel and Angel's life.
Things would never be the same.
