Ireland 1759

Angelus walked through the woods with grace, hunting down his prey who had slipped his grasp earlier. He had come to live with his sire, and grand sire for six years, and was used to living the life he led.

When his sire, Lilith, had introduced him to Darla, he had been barely impressed. From what he had learned about vampires, she was just the same as any. Jealous, menacing, scheming, and always having a hunger for children and nobles.

He had noticed the way Lilith grew more and more wary with her sire as the years went by, not that he blamed her.

During the time he spent with his sire, he had grown atttached to her. The way she would surprise him on the hunt, never showing what she had planned until it happened. Her teachings always left a lasting impression, and from what he saw, it was all about her
imagination. She feed the flame inside of him in the way she moved, the way she danced... she was tentalizing.

She had even let her brand him two years ago on the day she had made him. He remembered that night well. They had just come back from a night of hunting, and finished off two drunken lads near the tavern, including Peter Frank, an old friend of his family who had just
washed into town.

"Come, Angelus," Lilith had said, gesturing to the bed after lighting a candle that lay on the dresser.

He had grinned, and approached her, removing his coat and kissing her lips until they were swollen. She laughed, removing his shirt so he remained bare chested, "Angelus, do you ever get tired of our love making?"

Grinning, he shook his head, and removed her cloak and necklace so he could reach her neck. "Angelus," Lilith pulled him away, and pulled him toward a chair next to the bed. He frowned as he sat there, she turned around and looked at him over her shoulder as she pulled a few
things from a drawer, "How much are you loyal to me?"

"As loyal as a vampire can be," Angelus replied, staring at her.

She smiled, "Do you enjoy having me as your sire?"

"Of course," Angelus replied, still trying to figure out what she was up to.

She turned, carrying the items to the small dest next to the chair and placing them there. He glanced at the objects. A fresh needle, a bottle of royal blue ink, and a vile of something... water? Lilith placed the candle she lit a while ago onto the table, "Would you let me do anything to you if I asked?"

"Yes," He said, "Lilith," Angelus took her hands, "What are you trying to tell me, love?"

"I want to make sure you wanted this," Lilith spoke, "And I want to be sure. Angelus, I have given you almost everything. I have given you my blood, an eternal existance, a long living lover, and my demon. And I want nothing in return. Nothing, except your demon..." She kissed him softly, bit his neck bluntly with her human teeth.

He changed, and she smiled, running her fingers across his ridges and strong features and gave him an innocent look,"That and branding you as mine..."

"What?" Angelus blinked.

She giggled, "I want to mark you. Not with bite marks, they never last unless you were mortal... I want to mark you with a kiss and a sharp needle. It will last forever..."

"How?" Angelus asked, "You told me that it's impossible for that sort of thing."

"Unless," Lilith started, grabbing the vile, "You have something that will make it last." She tapped the little vile with her nail.

He gazed at it, "Holy water."

Lilith nodded, "It will hurt... but I promise it will be worth the effort..." She gave him her signature pout, running her fingers over his bare shoulders and leaning in to nibble his ears, "Please..." She whispered.

He growled, "All right."

She smiled, and leaned in, kissing him once, twice, three times before moving away. She grabbed a small bowl, and poured half of the ink in, and then the equal amount of holy water in it as well, dulling the blue just a tiny bit. She then cleaned the needle using the candle for several seconds before dipping the needle into the ink and holy water mixture.

"This is going to sting," She whispered into his air, kissing and nipping down his spine and moving toward his shoulder blade. Without warning, she plunged the needle into the layer of skin, and he hissed loudly.

It seemed like forever to him as she continued to kiss and prick his skin, sending a fiery of bittersweet bliss down his spine. When she was finally down, after hours of work, she cleaned off his skin with some iodine to some of the larger pricks here and there, and marveled
at her work. She had drawn the winged horse she had seen in one of her mother's old books before it had disappeared with all of her other things. And added a strong A in the center, then weaved around until she reached one of the horses hooves, and made a small L inside of it. Actually, if you looked closely at the design around the A, they were all little L's, connected together in a weaving fashion.

"There," She smiled with satisfaction as he whirled on her, "Was that painful?"

"Very," He growled.

She grinned, lifting her gaze to meet his, "Good."

And after that, they had spent most of there time indulging in their passion, or rather, his passion. She had promised him it would be worth while, and it had.

Angelus jerked to his right at the sound of foot steps. His prey was close... so close that he could pratically smell her--

Without warning, Angelus was knocked to the ground with a hard force. The body colliding with his and holding him to the ground. He grinned up at her, "Feeling primitive, eh, lover?"

Lilith answered him with a kiss. Hot and hungry, running her nails over his chest as he kissed her back. He could taste the vague tang of blood from a man... the taste spicey and a little bitter, but her mouth managed to dull the bitterness.

She licked her lips once she pulled away, adjusting her straddled position on his waist. She played with the color of his shirt, "I'm so glad we finally gotten time away from Darla." She pouted, "I never thought she would leave us alone..."

"She has been lingering," Angelus commented, running his hands up and down her sides, following the curves of her body.

"You'll be meeting the Master in a few months." Lilith sighed, calming down from the earlier game of cat and mouse.

Angelus rolled his eyes, "My angel of darkness... do you really think I care about the Master? Living up to man older than my grand father is not the way I thought we'd be spending the years of our lord." He commented sarcastically.

Lilith smiled, "I know... you look up to no one..." She giggled, "With the exception of me, of course."

"You?" Angelus asked.

"If you haven't noticed, Angelus," Lilith made a small gesture, "You *are* looking up to me."

"Amusing, dear angel... amusing," Angelus retorted.

"I don't blame you," Lilith bent forward and kissed his forehead, "You've been a rogue since the beginning, why stop now?"

"Forget about the Master," Angelus said, pulling her closer against his body, "We are here, now. Together."

"We are... here... together," Lilith agreed, letting Angelus pull her down, rolling her over so he was on top. Not caring about the chilly weather that had graced the lands, or the prying, jealous eyes that looked upon them from a distance.

The End.
