Quick note!
Faith has been in Sunnydale for a while... she's in the out crowd
with Will and Xander. She's not so much with the not caring for
people, but she still has her edge. She gets on fine with Will.
Xander likes Faith, but doesn't have a crush on her.
Cordy is Cordy.
Oz... I like Oz! Oz is with them!! hehehehe
Giles is Faith's Watcher, even though he's uneasy around her some
times.
They stopped the Harvest... I'll be making up some of the scary brew-
ha-ha from now on... so don't be too surprised if I change some of
the monsters around or keep em. It all depends on where I am going
with it now.
Okay! Go read!

Sunnydale, 1997
The blond cried out after being thrown into a tree.
She groaned, then kicked the vampire off of his feet, and jumped down on him, shoving the stake through his heart.
Standing up in a daze, she gazed at the stake...
She couldn't get over this. She couldn't help but feel odd, like she was betraying her kind.
No, she thought, I'm not like them... no one's like me... no one except for...
"Oh!" She shouted as she was knocked to the ground. A large vampire, about ten times the size of her, wearing a truck driver shirt, heck he could have been a truck driver, strangled her neck. She growled, softly, warning him that she was not any ordinary little girl.
He ignored her, moving in to bite her neck when--
She blinked.
He was gone.
And there stood her ex lover.
She stared, amazed, and yet unsure if this was real or not. He looked the same, only he had cut his hair and spiked it up. He wore a leather jacket, a white shirt, and pants. She wasn't surprised. She wore a similiar outfit, knee high boots, dress pants, a small tank top and a leather jacket that went down to the back of her legs.
He stared at her as well... transfixed... stuck... unmoving when he heard a familiar tsk sound.
They both looked to their side and saw someone they thought was on his way back to New York.
"Whistler," They said at the same time, they blinked.
He chuckled, "So, you two kids finally met one another again. I gotta say, I was hoping for a more of a dramatic deal. Maybe a small fight... then the running away and screamin' and shouting. Ah, well..."
She stood up, dusting off her clothes, "Whistler, what is going on?"
"Well, we didn't wanna seperate the only vamps with souls, so we gave both of you similiar missions. Now, you two work together, all right? I don't wanna end up seeing one of you's a pile of dust, all right?"
Then he was gone.
She blinked, then looked at him. With a shaky breath, she said, "Your place?"
He gazed at her, then nodded, "Yeah..."
******************************************
They were quiet on the way. They didn't speak once as he unlocked the door to his apartment and let her in. She gazed at the dimly lit apartment. Noting some of the things he had kept.
She bit her lower lip as she moved into the center of the room. Turning to face him, she swallowed hard, "So..."
He exhaled, "So..."
She nodded, "You've been good?"
He looked at her, "Yeah, I've been... how have you been?"
"Good," She replied, her voice surprising her. The wavering sound in it. The way she was clutching the stake in her hand. The way she heard the first parts of it cracking under her strength. She quickly placed it back inside of her coat, "This is nice," She said, gesturing to the apartment.
"Yeah..." He said, "It works..."
She sighed, "So... what did Whistler send you here for?"
"I'm supposed to help the Slayer..." He replied.
Nodding, she flipped some of her hair over her shoulder, "Yeah... I've seen her around... a bit of a wild child, but, I can't blame her... heard she's had a tough life..."
"Yeah," He gazed at her, "You?"
She fidgeted, "I'm suppose to help them kill the Master and Luke... and.... and Darla..." She murmured, biting her lip so hard that she drew blood.
He smelt it, "Lilith--"
"Buffy," She said, looking up at him.
He frowned, "What?"
"I couldn't... I couldn't go on using that name..." She confessed, "So, I changed it. I'm Buffy now."
"Oh," He said, "Angel."
Buffy nodded, "Couldn't part with name could you?" She tried to joke, before closing her eyes against the memory of naming him... God, it was so hard! They had been seperated for almost a hundred years, and she could barely keep herself in check. From breaking down.
"Buffy," He said her name softly.
She gazed at him, "I should go... it'll be light soon... and I have to prepare..."
"Buffy." Angel started.
She turned around, looking at him with sad emerlad eyes. Eyes that looked so much like his own, "I..." He looked down, "It's good to see you."
She wrapped her arms around herself, "Its good to see you, too." Gazing at him for one last moment, she turned on the heel of her boot and walked away into the night. Exhausted.... frightened... and mostly guilty...
Angel slid down the door after he closed it. His eyes shutting automatically.
So many years...
So many times...
It struck him harder than it did before.
The girl... Buffy, the women he had come to know as Lilith... the demon... the one he knew better than anyone else...
Was a total stranger....
