Author’s Notes: This takes place in Season Three. When? I don’t know. I just thought this would be interesting and appropriate for the way I’m feeling right now. Also, I sent this into poetry.com (as lame as they are because they accept anything!) under my real name. Thought I’d let you know!

Feedback: C’mon, who doesn’t love it when people write them saying nice things?
Pairing: Buffy/Angel.
Summary: Poem. Buffy reflects on her troublesome relationship with Angel and how she feels in Season 3.

I’ve never felt safe before,
Never felt secure and protected
As I do in my Angel’s arms.
I know no that evil,
No guilt, no pain,
Can tear me away from the Heaven
That I reach in his arms.
They wrap around me,
His soft, husky voice whispering to me,
Telling me that everything will be okay.
And that he loves me.
Closing my eyes, I lose myself in him,
Knowing that we can never be together, truly.
A tear slips from my eye.
Why couldn’t things be different?
Squeezing me gently, he pulls back.
I do the same, wondering why he would want to,
When his lips descend upon mine.
Closing my eyes, I enjoy the sensation,
Knowing that things can never go too far.
Knowing that I may never feel this safe again.
Knowing that I may lose him.
Just knowing.
I love you, my Angel.
Never leave me.
Never.
