Willows POV

"Cordelia?  You were talking about a make-over earlier..."

"Have you finally decided to use some fashion sense."

"Um-"

"Listen.  This make-over will include going to the mall, buying an entirely new wardrobe.  Do you know what could happen to my reputation if I am seen with you at the mall?  So if you want to go through with this, you are going to have to listen to me and do exactly as I say, NO arguing."

<Gosh, I didn't think so much was involved in this.  Maybe I should think this over.  I mean, I'm not doing this for Angel, he has Buffy.  I'm not doing this for Oz, he's sweet, but I don't know if I want more than friendship or what.  So who will I do this for...?>

"Do it for yourself.  And maybe Angel.  I could definitely see you with him."

"What?" <Oh goddess, did I just say those things out loud?>

"Yes you did.  You need to work on your internal dialouge.  Either that or you're going insane.  So anyway, are you in or out?  Good!  Be here in 20 minutes and we'll get ready to go to the mall."

Still Willow's POV

"So what's up between you and Angel?"

"What? Nothing!"  Willow and Cordelia were walking through Macy's picking out clothes for them to try on.

"I think thats the problem," Cordelia said as she picked a red silk dress off the rack and held it up against Willow.  "You two should hook up."

"But I have Oz.  I mean, its nothing serious yet, but it might be soon..."

"Do you want it to be?"

"Well yeah, I guess.  I mean, he's made me feel attractive, and he'd be my first real boyfriend."

"But where has he been lately?  I didn't see either of you at the Bronze last week." Cordelia put back the red dress and exchanged it for green and held it against Willow.  Willow couldn't keep a surprised look from her face when she heard that Cordelia actually noticed that she wasn't there.

Cordelia saw the look on Willow's face and explained. "I noticed when there wasn't a corner of the Bronze that everyone was avoiding from.  But tonight you're going to be a guy magnet.  Anyway, answer the question."

"He's in the band, and they've been kinda on tour.  They've been playing a lot, and Buffy's been patrolling, and I didn't want to be like a third wheel to you and Xander."

"Well, thats good.  Here, try on these shoes.  I just love anything by Espirit."

Still Willows POV (Angel's coming, I promise!)

"You're lucky I already had an appointmment at the spa for two.  I just told Harmony that she couldn't come."  Cordelia and Willow had been shopping for five hours, and Willow was exhausted.  So Cordelia decided to take Willow to the spa with her to relax and get ready for the night ahead.

"Cordelia, that was kinda mean."

"Harmony is just one of the sheep.  She'll get over it.  And call me Cordy."

"If your sure.  What color do you think I should choose?"

"Have I taught you nothing?  Never choose a color until you've chosen your outfit."

"But I thought at the mall we decided I would wear-"

"You probably will.  But what if at the last minute you find a different outfit that looks better?  Then you'd have the wrong color nail polish."

"So what should we do?" <This is a lot more involved then I thought.  Oh well, too late to back out now... I'm doing this for Ang- I mean Oz, I mean, myself->

"We're getting french manicures.  And after that, Gorgio will style our hair.  He's a genius!"

Angel's POV

<What am I doing?  I don't want to go.  I mean, I really want to see Will- I mean, Buffy, but I would probably just make her uncomfortable.  And she said she does this for all her friends, so she doesn't really want me, she's just being her sweet, wonderful self.  I'll call her back and tell her I'm not coming>

Willow's POV (Angel will be back, I swear!)

By the time they got back to Willow's house, it was already dark.

~ring... ring...ri-~

"Willow, aren't you going to get the phone?"

"Can you get it for me?  I need to take my new clothes upstairs."  Cordelia looked around Willow's kitchen for a phone, found a portable one and clicked the on button.

"Hello?"

"Hi... is this Cordelia?"

"Yes, who is this?"

"It's Oz.  Can I talk to Willow?"

"Sure, one sec."  Cordelia walked upstairs and said, "Willow, Oz is on the phone.  I'm going to go through your closet and see if theres anything that doesn't yell 'Softer Side of Sears.'  Then we're going to go to my house and get ready, 'k? Good.  Heres Oz."

"Hi Oz.  Whats up?" <I wonder why he's calling.  He never calls.  He never has much to say.>

"Two things.  Giles says there's a prophecy and he wants you and everyone else to stop by."

"And the other?"

"I can't go to the Bronze tonight.  Last minute gig.  You can come it you want."  <He doesn't want me to come, he just feels bad about ditching me last minute.>

"Uh, no thanks, but it was sweet of you to ask."

"'K.  See ya."

"See ya."

Cordelia came back cown the steps.  "Whats up?"

"Oz.  He's not coming."

"Good.  That means you won't be tied to one guy at the Bronze.  Come on, lets get ready."

"Wait a second.  This is my favorite song."  She turned up the radio volume and began to dance.

Angel's POV (I toldja he'd be back!)

~ring... ring... ri-~

"Hello?"

"Angel? Its Oz.  Stop by the library tonight.  Giles says there's a prophecy."  Angel felt slightly disappointed.  He had been beginning to look forward to going to the Bronze.  <I hope Willow and I can still go to the Bronze... I mean, Buffy and I.>

Still Angel's POV

<I'll go to Willow's house and just tell her about the prophecy.  I'll walk her to the library.  Just to keep her safe.>  He walked to Willow's house and stopped in front of it, looking in the french doors.  Suddenly Angel caught an unusual scent in the air, and he know exactly what it meant.

"Come out, Spike!" <What is he doing here?>

"Oh, Peaches, I was gonna surprise you."  He stepped out from behind a tree and smirked.

"What do you want, Spike?" Angel asked, rolling his eyes.

"I don't know, Pops, I just thought we could spend some quality time together."

"Not tonight, Spike.  I'm really busy.  I'll ask you again."  Angel strode across the grass and picked his childe up by the neck.  "What do you want?"Spike pushed his sire back. "Oh thats right.  Your going out with Slutty and her Sluttettes.  I'm gonna help you get ready," he said in a sarcastic voice.

"Yeah, right."  <How does he know I'm going?  He must have overheard me on the phone earlier.>  Angel eyed him suspiciously.  "Where's Dru?"

"That crazy chit is in Brazil shagging a Choas demon, soon to be a pile of ashes, I hope."  Spike couldn't hide to bitterness in his voice.  Angel actually felt sympathy for his childe.  "I came back to talk to that witch."

Immediately Angel lost his sympathy and and his face took on the form of his demon.  He slammed Spike against the tree and emphasized each word of his statement by hitting his head against the the trunk.  "You.  Will.  Not.   Touch.  Willow!"  With the last word he hit his childe's head against the tree with extra force.

"Get an grip, Angelus!"  He kicked his sire off of him and brush away the leaves that had fallen on his hair.  Then he said in a sing-songy voice "Somebody's got a crush!  Somebody's got a crush!"  Angel growled.  "Shut up!"  Then he happened to glance up at Willow's window again.  He was instantly enchanted by watching her dance.  Spike looked up to see what had distracted his sire, and was also instantly addicted.  "Bloody hell, she's beautiful!"  They both felt themselves growing hard, and Spike knew he needed to get out of there.  "Until tonight, my witch," he murmured under his breath, so low that even Angel couldn't hear him, and he snuck off.

When the song ended Angel snapped out of his daze.  He heard Cordelia tell Willow to get ready to go, and he got ready to follow them.

Still Angel's POV

While he was following Cordelia and Willow, Angel sensed Buffy.  <There's no point in trying to avoid her, she know I'm nearby because of her slayer senses.>

"Hey Angel.  You coming Bronzing tonight.?"

"Yeah, but I'm not so sure you should.  I mean, Giles says theres a prophecy and everything-" <Plus more time alone with Willow... to protect her from Spike, thats right, to protect her from Spike->

"There's always a prophecy.  Will you come with me to the library?"  With one final glance at Cordelia's car that was rapidly leaving view, he said, "Sure, lets go."

~At the library~

"But Giles-"

"No, Buffy, you can't go to the Bronze tonight.  You need to patrol, just to make sure the prophecy doesn't happen."

"I think Giles is right, Buffy," Angel said in a tone of voice that was not to be argued with.  <God, she sounds like a petulant child.>  Buffy made a whiny sound, but then perked up.  "Angel, you'll come with me, won't you?"

She gave him the puppy-dog eyes that she was sure he couldn't refuse.  Angel was about to say no when Giles stepped in.  "Buffy, I don't think that would be a good idea.  Angel tends to... distract you."  Buffy frowned and said, "Fine."  Then she leaned over and whispered in Angel's ear, "I'll catch up with you at the Bronze."  When she was gone, Angel sub-consciously shivered at the thought.  Then he headed home and got ready for the Bronze.  He was back at the library in 10 minutes, with the help of his vampiric speed.  He got there just in time to see Willow walk in.  He caught a breath he didn't need.  He had never seen a sexier, more beautiful sight.

Still Angel's POV

"Hey Deadboy."  Angel barely nodded at Xander in recognition.  Xander also caught his breath when he saw Willow, the girl who had always been his best buddy, dressed in a beautiful green silk dress that brought out her eyes and made them shine like emeralds.  In sharp contrast with the green, her red hair was pulled back in a french twist and seemed to sparkle because of the jewels that were in it.  It set off her pale skin that looked like porcelin.

The dress was classy, but daring.  It was slightly shorter than knee-length with a slit on each side that went up to mid-thigh.  It had a neck-line that showed just a hint of cleavage.  Willow smiled and blushed when she saw Xander and Angel.  Cordelia also smiled and said, "You like?"  She tapped Willow on the should and whispered in her ear, "Well, go strut your stuff."

Willow blushed again and shook her head.  Cordelia looked up at Xander and Angel, whose jaws were still on the floor, and said, "Boys, Willow's feeling a little shy.  Tell her what you think of how she looks."  With that she nudged Willow, who looked like she wanted to kill Cordelia, forward.  Willow walked up to them and did a little piroutte.  Both guys nearly groaned out loud when they saw how low the back dipped.  The only thing holding the dress up was a series of straps going across the back, that ended in a tie where the material started again.  It would only take the pull of one little strap for the whole thing to come off, and Angel found himself wanting to pull that strap.

<No, I don't.  I don't want to pull that strap.  I don't want to see Willow's beautiful naked body.  I don't want to kiss her and hold her and hear her yell out my name in passi- stop it!>  Willow walked back and blushed again.  Cordelia put her hands on her hips and nearly barked out, "Well what do you think?  I didn't spend all day at the spa and shopping and constantly telling her she looks fine for silence!"

Willow gave a very small, sad smile and almost whispered, "It's ok, Cordy.  I know you tried your best, but I'm just not pretty."

Xander, who finally found his voice, protested.  "Willow, you look..."

"Beautiful."  Angel said, almost reverently, in a husky voice.  Willow smiled again, more brightly this time, and it seemed to light up the room.  "Thank you.  Oh, where's Giles?  Didn't he say something about a prophecy?"

Giles cleared his throat.  "Oh, yes.  Willow, you look nice.  I don't think any of you need to worry about it.  Buffy is out patrolling, and she should be able to diffuse the sitchuation easily.  Have fun at the Bronze."  And with that, three teens and a vampire headed off to the Bronze.

Willow's POV

<Wow, the Bronze is really packed tonight.  Why are all those guys staring at me?  I don't look that bad.>  She didn't notice the way that Angel seemed to leer and growl at every guy who had the nerve to look her way.  Cordelia and Xander got on the dance floor, and Willow and Angel made their way to a booth and sat down.  Willow tried to make conversation.  "So..."

"So..."  <Why does this feel like a first date?>

"Do you know what happened to Buffy?  She was going to meet us at the library too."

"Oh, yeah.  If she can stop one person from being turned, the prophecy will not happen.  She's just going to keep him away from any vampires."

"Oh, ok.  Who is it?"

"Its-"

"Ooh, this is my favorite song."  She suddenly blushed.  <Maybe he'll dance with me.>  "Will you dance with me?"

"No, I'm sorry, I don't dance."

"Oh." <Goddess, Willow, what were you thinking?  You're not, Buffy, why would he want to dance with you?> "Ok."

Willow got up and started to dance by herself.  It was the same song that she had danced to in her room while Angel and Spike were watching.  And she was dancing the same way, with her eyes closed.  If they had been open, she would have seen a circle form around her.  She probably would have stopped, but she didn't see that the whole Bronze was watching her dance, especially the guys.  Nobody got in the circle to dance with her.  No one had the courage to dance with anyone so stunning.  Except for one vampire.

Angel's POV

<The Bronze is really full tonight.  Why are all those guys staring at my Willow?  She may be gorgeous, but that doesn't give them the right to look at her.  Whoa, when did she become my Willow?>  Angel leered and growled at every guy who had the nerve to glance her way.  Cordelia and Xander got on the dance floor, and Willow and Angel made their way to a booth and sat down.  Willow tried to make conversation.  "So..."

"So..."  <Why does this feel like a first date?>

"Do you know what happened to Buffy?  She was going to meet us at the library too." <Oh, right, Buffy.>

"Oh, yeah.  If she can stop one person from being turned, the prophecy will not happen.  She's just going to keep him away from any vampires."

"Oh, ok.  Who is it?"

"Its-"

"Ooh, this is my favorite song."  She suddenly blushed.  "Will you dance with me?" <What?  She's asking me to dance?  I'm not worthy.>

"No, I'm sorry, I don't dance."

"Oh." <Why did I say no?  I'd give anything to dance with here.  I'd give anything to get that sad look off of her face.> "Ok."

He watched her get up and start dancing.  He recognized the song as the one that had been playing in her room earlier.  He got up and went to the front of the circle to watch her, feeling the all too farmiliar blood rushing to his nether regions.  He couldn't believe how good she looked.  And he wasn't the only one that noticed

Spikes POV (that's right, my boy is back!)

Spike had seen Cordelia, Xander, Willow and Angel go into the Bronze.  He had also seen the appreciative looks the male patrons had given her and his demon was urging him to rip their eyeballs for looking at his Willow.  <Not yet.  Seeing eyeballs on the ground is not very romantic.>  He had gone to the DJ, and with a little persuation (threating to torture and kill him) he got him to play the song Willow had been dancing to earlier.  He watched from the bar as Willow got up and began to dance, watched as the circle formed around her.  He got up from his seat, pushed his way to the front of the circle, and after a moments hesitation, entered the circle and began to dance with Willow.

Willow's POV

<Oh goddess, I'm dancing with Spike.>  About a minute after he had gotten into the circle, she brushed up against a body, she had opened her eyes to see who it was.  She was so surprised to see him that she stopped dancing.  Fortunately right then the song ended.  He grabbed her, dipped her, and whispered into her ear, "I missed you, pet."  And with that, he was gone.  A second later, she felt a pair of big, strong arms wrap around her.  "Oh my God.  Willow, are you ok?  Did he hurt you?"  Willow look up into a pair of concerned chocolatey brown eyes.

"No, I'm fine.  I didn't even know I was dancing with him until the end of the song."

"Which reminds me, will you dance with me?"

Angel's POV

<I can't believe Spike did that!  He danced with MY Willow!  When I see him again he is going to pay.  I'm just going to have to stick close to her to protect her.  Yep, thats the only reason.  Not because I want to touch her soft, pale skin, not because I want to hold her in my arms->

"Yes, I'd love to dance with you."  <She WANTS to dance with me!>

The next song was a slow, so they just held eachother, swaying from side to side.  <Oh, this feels so good...>  "Hey Angel.  Willow, mind if I cut in?"

Without waiting for a response, a blonde slayer pushed Willow out of the way and wrapped her arms around Angel.
